"Phemie, it's been two weeks since prom." Cami softly spoke as she rubbed my back. "You have to get up. So Karter found his mate, and queen bee Jayla won homecoming queen, life continues." She tried to encourage me as she handed me my favorite vanilla bean frappuccino with caramel drizzle.

"I can't Camilla, I just can't." I took the cup as I sat up in bed sniffling. My hair was definitely a mess, I hadn't brushed it in a week, and I probably smelled too bad my nose was stopped up. "My crush, I finally got him, I finally had him in my grasp, we dated, and then he's someone else's mate." I began crying again as I choked on my words, grabbing another tissue from the nightstand.

"Yes, and we can't ponder on that anymore. You missed the last week of school, and we understood, but tomorrow is graduation and we need to get ahead and start getting you ready and up to performance rate." She stood up from the bed, throwing back my covers, and headed to the bathroom. "Come on, let's get you in the shower while I take the things off your bed and... burn them."

As I made my way out of the shower Cami was holding out a cup of green tea and Evelyn had arrived, she was cleaning up my apartment. "Thank you, girls," I whispered lowering my head.

"Don't thank us Phemie, we love you," Evelyn spoke up stacking my magazines together on the coffee table.

"Yes, we do. Now we are going to the spa today, we all need to relax and wash away bad intentions." Cami handed me clothes to change into. "Of course, Max was gracious enough to give me his card, he sends his good wishes." She smiled grabbing the gold card from her back pocket.

"Let's go!" Evelyn opened my door as she headed to my hunter-green jeep. She threw her bright red hair back as she grabbed my keys off the hook on the wall. As we made our way to Staci's Serenity Spa, I tried my hardest not to cry and think about that dreaded day, I tried not to remember how I saw him kissing another girl, I did all I could to push it out of my mind.

"Good morning Fran," Cami approached the front desk to the older woman sitting behind it. She smiled as the pieces of strawberry blonde hair crept out from her headset. "We're here for our appointments, for a wonderful relaxing day." She smiled wide as she collected our purses and handed them to Fran.

"Second door on the right, we have you scheduled for soft tissue massage, mud bath, salt scrub, seaweed body wraps, whirlpool, ending with a waxing." Fran's voice rasped as she handed us each a fluffy pink robe directing us down the hallway. "Change into your robes then make your way to the fourth door on the left for your massages."

"So, what are you going to do after graduation, Evelyn?" I asked finally starting to relax under the slight pressure my masseuse was giving.

"Well, I didn't want to say anything, but a week ago Jesse asked me to marry him!" Evelyn exclaims as she sits up on the massage table.

"Oh my Goddess, that is so wonderful. I'm so happy for you two." I reply wrapping the towel around me and jumping down from the table as Camilla did the same. "You knew?" I questioned Cami realizing she wasn't as giddy as I was.

"Yes, Phemie, I knew. We wanted to wait to tell you." Cami confessed as she opened the door heading down the hallway to the third door on the right side.

"No, I don't want you guys to hide things from me, I feel like I missed out," I stated as we made our way into the mud bath. "What else happened?"

"Well," Cami started as she slipped off her robe and made her way into the tub next to mine. "Max proposed too!"

"Oh my, Cami, I'm so happy. That's wonderful!" I blurted out as a woman wrapped my hair in a towel. "Two weddings, you guys. There's so much work to do!" As we finished the spa day that ended with us getting our nails done as a gift to us from Staci when she overheard our conversation about Evelyn and Camilla getting engaged.

"Good afternoon Evelyn," Mona spoke as she grabbed us menus and walked us to a booth. Her red hair was tied neatly up in a high ponytail and her face looked bright and cheery as always. "Ladies, always a pleasure. Anything you girls want, on the house." She winks before signaling for the server.

"Good afternoon, my name's Viktoria, is there anything I can start you ladies off with?" The waitress spoke. I looked up from my menu only to be taken back to prom, it was her. The mousy brown-haired girl I saw Karter kissing all over and for a second I almost lost it. I was staring down, the short, petite, brown-eyed, freckle-faced girl here, in my favorite restaurant. My nightmare had come out of my head, the daydream that would keep me awake at night had escaped my mind and was standing a few feet from me.

"Phemie," Camilla touched my hand and I turned to face her, eyes red, with hints of tears. "Give us a minute." She told her, before facing me again. "What is it? What's wrong?" She asked as she started rubbing my back. "You're hyperventilating, breathe Euphemia."

"That's...that's the girl..." I gulped hard letting a tear fall down my face. "That's the girl that Karter...that's his mate." I managed to say squeezing her hand.

"Oh my Goddess, Phemie, I had no idea." Evelyn gasped as she stood up from the table walking to her mother, I couldn't make out the exchange of words but Mona gasped, and looked my way before walking over to Viktoria.
