"Spill it," Killian spoke out as I grabbed onto his arm.

"Sire, they would not tell me, they wish to call a meeting with you tonight if you'll be in agreeance," Keegan stated as stood with his arms behind his back.

"Set it," Killian bellowed as he watched his mother through the window get into the other limo and head down the driveway. "I'm glad Mother took her holiday,"

"Are you alright?" I asked as I squeezed Killian's hand, looking up at his crystal blue eyes.

"Oh course my love, come, let's go see your room," Killian smiled as he led me up the stairs. "This is the Queen's room,"

"The Queen's room?" I questioned tilting my head to the side.

"Yes, it is a royal custom, that the sovereigns have separate rooms," The King uttered as he cleared his throat. "But my room, is right through here," He pushed open a secret panel in the wall that lead to a small hallway and into another bedroom.

"Wow, any more secret passageways?" I chuckled as I walked into his room to the large wooden bed in the middle.

"Sire, I spoke to the council, they are ready to meet in one hour," Keegan knocked on the door as he cleared his throat.

"Let's get dressed then we'll make our way to see the council," Killian said as he wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me into his broad chest. As we got dressed we began down the stairs and into the limo heading down the road toward the council of old men.

"Good evening your Majesty," Announced Elder Allen Hawke as he bowed his head ushering the King toward the table.

"Yes, good evening your Majesty, and soon-to-be Majesty Euphemia," Elder Lloyd Swartz bowed his head as he held out his hand for me to take.

"So, you told Gamma Keegan that you had information about my mate?" The King asked with enthusiasm laced in every word.

"Yes, Sire of course," Began Elder Gilbert Song as he stood up from the table. "We did some research on your mate's family, at first it was fruitless. We were going to move on and look into the laws to support you and your mate until we came across Ms. Euphemia's fourth great-grandfather, Viscount Booth, Conrad Booth, of Billings,"

"I don't believe I've heard of Viscount Booth," Killian spoke up as he tilted his head and raised an eyebrow.

"No, you wouldn't have, Viscount Conrad Booth married a commoner and withdrew his royal status more than four hundred years ago, he married a wolf," Elder Carl Simmons mentioned as he pulled out a wedding photo of a young blonde man and a brunette haired woman. "This is Conrad Booth and his mate and wife Cybil Washington,"

"So, she has royal blood?" Killian questioned as he placed his hands on the table and rose to his feet.

"Yes, your Grace, since she is the only living relative, not in a coma through a direct line, we will have to make her into a countess before you can marry her," Elder Conner Spitz said as he positioned his robes to fully cover his legs.

"Direct line?" I asked tilting my head in confusion. "Wouldn't it make my Uncle Peter a Viscount?" I reached for Killian's hand as he sat back down.

"Well, no, your Uncle Peter was adopted as a baby, he was found, and your grandparents took him in," Elder Allen uttered with a look of sorrow that dampened his features.

"Adopted?" I mumbled as I looked down at the table unable to take in all this new information at once.

"We know it's a lot to grasp but we would like to make you a Countess this week so that you may marry The King," Elder Gilbert smiled sitting across from me. "No need to worry, we are all here to help you through the process, we're positive you will make a fine Queen,"

"Thank you, I really appreciate that," I muttered as I watched the door open and a tall woman with flowing mahogany hair sashayed her way into the building.

"Hello, Your Grace, Elders," She bowed as she made her way over to the King extending her long slender hands in his direction.

"Ahh, Baroness Wakefield," Elder Carl stood up from the table as he motioned her to take a seat, but she refused to move until The King acknowledged her.

"Davina Robinson, well I guess it's Wakefield now, of Lakeshield, " Killian scoffed as he waved his hand toward her. "This is my mate Euphemia Winters,"

"Yes, that's why I'm here, to teach her everything about being a royal," Davina smiled slyly as she made her way to the other end of the table.

"Do not think for one second, you will try to weasel your way into being anywhere near me or harming my mate so that you can have the crown," Killian growled as his eyes glowed yellow causing the elders and Davina to bow and bare their necks.

"I wouldn't dream of it, besides I'm happily married to Baron Theodore Wakefield now," Davina cocked her head to the side as she pulled out her phone.

"Who is she?" I whispered to Killian as I looked at him with concerned eyes.

"Someone my mother was adamant on me marrying, her father is a Baron and it looks like she couldn't find anyone to marry her but an old man," The King giggled between us as he drew his head closer to mine.

"Do I have to worry?" I questioned as I turned my head to face her.

"You have nothing to worry about," Elder Conner smiled as he and the rest of the elders got up from the table.

"I'll be there tomorrow," Shouted Davina as Killian opened the door and Ryder quickly came by my side.

"I could feel you in there, worry, anxiety, fear, I'm here, and nothing will come for you, not even Davina," Ryder squeezed my arm before opening the limo door for us to get in.
