"What do you mean?" Cami wiped her eyes as she asked me the only thing she could think of.
"I'm leaving, I have to," I began as I grabbed her hands. "It's all too much for me. I can't keep being around here, seeing him...with her. I'll never get out of this mood I've been in, I'll never find my mate." I stood up and started to pace around my floor. "For Goddess' sake, I almost ruined your wedding and Evelyn's."
"We didn't invite Karter, and when he showed up, we had to make sure you were okay," Camilla told me as she took my hand and lead me to the sofa. "You didn't ruin anything or almost ruin anything. We both love you!"
"I couldn't live with myself if I did, Cami, but it doesn't change the fact that I have to leave," I replied wiping my eyes from the tears that were falling.
"No, no, I'm calling Evelyn," She held up her finger grabbing her phone from her bright yellow purse.
"What?!" Evelyn screamed as Cami put her on speakerphone. "You can't just leave us, Euphemia!"
"She's right Phemie." Cami tried to reason as she held out her phone, her red-painted nails gripping it as she pushed it forward.
"You are both married now, mated, and moved in with your husbands. I know everyone in this town and my mate is not here." I said a bit calmer as I grabbed my suitcase from the closet. "Look if I don't find my mate I promise I'll come back and mate one of your brothers." I sniffled as I sat back down on the sofa and hugged Camilla as she and Evelyn laughed.
"I'll hold you to it, as I'm sure David and Bash will too." She joked brushing back her hair. "Can we just have one more day together?" She begged before eyeing her phone and switching to Facetime with Evelyn.
"Yes, Phemie, you have to." Evelyn wined. "A night at your house."
"Guys, I have to get out tomorrow," I state getting up returning to my closet putting the last bit of my clothes inside my suitcase.
"Well then sleep over at my mom's, you know she'll be devastated if you don't say anything to her before you leave." Cami began to guilt trip me.
"Fine, we can spend today and tonight together, but tomorrow I'm leaving," I say firmly as I make my way into the kitchen.
"We're picking up Evelyn!" Cami grabs my keys as I take my last bag out to my Jeep before climbing into the driver's side. With barely enough room to back out with the trailer I have attached to my Jeep, I finally get on the road and head to Evelyn and Jesse's new house.
"Girls, you're here!" Evelyn yelled out as she opened the door, she kissed Jesse before running out of the house. "Where are we going? What are we doing?"
"It's up to you Phemie." Cami holds her hands up as she raises her eyebrows. "But, first let's drop off this eye sore and pick up my new wedding gift from Max." As we arrive at Camilla's new two-story Victorian-style home, David comes running out.
"My Sweet, is it true?" He grabbed my hand helping me out of the Jeep. "Are you really leaving?"
"Yes, It's too much being here, I have to make my own way, find my own path." I relay to him as I get into the passenger side of her new black car.
"So, where to?" Evelyn asked as she climbed into the back seat, her smile never faltering.
"Well, you girls know me so you guess." I giggled as I fixed my hair and put on my favorite pink lip gloss.
"History museum is first on the list," Cami started her car and headed down the street to Moon Light Pack Historical Museum.
"I know I'm starving," Evelyn commented as we were leaving the museum, luckily we didn't have to go far, it wasn't Mona's Cafe, I just couldn't stomach the sight of seeing Viktoria again. "I know you love reading, so, we're going to Bobby's Book Extravaganza and get some books."
"Today was wonderful, thank you, girls," I hugged them tightly before heading into Mrs. Luciana's house.
"I hear you're leaving us tomorrow," Mrs. Luciana greeted us at the door with open arms. "And you were going to leave without a proper send-off? Well, get in your pajamas and everyone meets back here in the kitchen." She clapped her hands sending us off like she used to when we were younger. "I've prepared supper, and after we're making cupcakes, you are all decorating." She pointed and laughed at all of us.
"Then, we're building a fort and watching movies all night," Cami spoke up as she came down the stairs wearing her favorite silk white polka dot pajamas.
"Phemie, are you really leaving?" Bash pulled me to the side as he held my hand.
"Yes, tomorrow, I have to find my way, Bash, I need to find my mate and get away," I replied as I looked into his hazel eyes, something I never paid attention to.
"What if you don't find your mate?" He responded as he turned his body to face me completely grabbing my other hand.
"I will, and so will you," I raised my hand up and cupped his cheek. "But, if I don't and you still haven't found yours, well then, who knows?" I smiled at him before kissing his hands. "Now come on, I am hungry and ready to decorate my cupcake."
"So, Sebastian told me what you said, does that also apply to me?" David asked as he pulled me into the hallway as everyone started to head into the living room. "Because I'd like the same opportunity as my younger brother." He reached for my hand and kissed them.
Before I could answer Mrs. Luciana's voice rang out, "David, Euphemia, it's time to pick a movie!"
