My eyes fluttered open, immediately jolting up, my eyes scanned the room that I found myself inside. The colours were dark, and it smelled like flowers and powdery fragrance. My body was covered with a dark silk blanket, and it was far nicer than Lord Archers abode.

There was nobody else in the room, causing me to be even more distraught and confused. I placed my feet delicately on the ground, trying not to make so much noise. There were two grand double doors, leading to the rest of who knows where. My memory was still foggy, but I know that I should be dead right now, not lounging on an extravagant bed.

Once I stepped foot out of the door, I stood in a large hall. A slave, I'm assuming because of her worn down clothes, looked at me like a deer in headlights, before dashing away. She ran faster than anyone could have dreamed of running.

It scared me a bit, but I decided it would be better to keep moving. I stopped before a large throne room, with an elegant man sitting in the throne. Nobody had seen me yet. I saw the slave whispering frantically in the elegant mans ear. Quickly, he looked around. Just then, our eyes met, and he dropped to his knees, infront of a whole court of people."The girl has woken?" He exclaimed, as I walked closer.

Walking up to him was probably stupid of me, but I felt it was apparent to come closer to the cold looking man. I haulted my advance forward, mere inches from the man. "Who..Who are you?" I asked, my voice seeming more innocent than I would care to admit. "My name is Lord Letum, High King of the Vampire." He said to me, seemingly dismissive of my presence. My blood ran cold at this sudden realization. "Let me leave this horrid place!!" rage surged inside of my body, and before I could stop myself, I smacked High King Letum, Lord of the Vampire, right in the face, with as much force as I could muster.

I was expecting him to break into a fit of anger, and to strike me back ten times harder. "Don't-Collect yourself Amity." Letum announced harshly and brought his hand to touch the place where I struck him. "I-I need to go home" I tried to explain. "My, I am afraid that there is no home for you to return to," the words he spoke sounded more vengeful than I understood. "What!?" I tried my best not to sound shocked."Follow me"
Letum said, leading me away from the court of people.
