Back On The Island

"We'll be back in an hour or so bill." Jupiter says as he hands Bill a life jacket once they arrive on the island.

"I don't know if I trust you guys." Bill says.

"We promise. If we get murdered we won't come to you to complain." Peter says as the group leave off and leave Bill at the boat.

*Timeskip*

"Scared?" Bob asks as he looks at Peter once the group arrives outside the cave.

"No way! I just don't think it's smart to barge in on an angry ghost. Maybe we should try spying on it from a distance first?" Peter says nervously.

"I'm going in." Jupiter says as he begins walking.

"Me too." Chris says as she walks after Jupiter.

"You two stay out here if you want but we're going." Alexis says as she follows after Chris and Jupiter before peter and bob hesitantly follow as well and begin to look around for Gamba.

"Wait! I thought I saw something." Jupiter says as bob drops the flashlight before it goes rolling leaving them in the dark.

"Let's just hurry and find Gamba. This place is really giving me the creeps. Where's the flashlight?" Alexis asks.

"Mess things up again Bob." Peter says annoyedly.

"Sorry." Bob says.

"I'll go get it." Alexis says as she goes to start walking.

"You don't have to. I mean you're not the one who dropped it." Peter says as Alexis looks at him before continuing on walking as she quickly finds the flashlight and picks it up before feeling something touch her shoulder.

"Guys if you wanted to stay together you could of said so. No need bump into me." Alexis says as she stands up.

"Uh Alexis we're over here." Jupiter says as Alexis shines the light on the others.

"What was that?" Bob asks hearing a screeching sound.

"We're not in here alone. Run!" Alexis says as she shines the light on a creature before the group scream and go running before the creature gets in front of them and reveals to be a baboon in a cloak.

"It's a baboon?" Bob asks in shock.

"Well how do you like that?" Alexis asks.

"I knew I had heard that sound before. Then it came to me. It was a baboon cry. Quite a sophisticated set up." Jupiter says.

"Who would dress up a baboon to look like a ghost?" Peter asks.

"Look. There's a hole in the wall. Let's go." Jupiter says as they follow him through the hole.

"It looks like there's something behind there." Chris says as the group find some lose bricks and make their way past them and find a hidden grave.

"There's nothing here. Let's go." Peter says as he tries to walk off only for Alexis to grab his arm before the group begin to look around.

"It's sir Heratio's grave. Where's sir Heratio?" Bob asks as he shines the light on the grave before a head pokes out of the hole in the grave causing the group to scream before seeing it is Gamba.

"It's Gamba?" Jupiter says.

"Dada!" Chris says as she runs over to her father.

"Chris!" Gamba says before they hear someone fall and shine the light to see it is bill.

"I don't get paid enough for this. Gamba! Stay where you are." Bill says as he gets up and points a gun at Gamba.

"What are you doing?" Chris asks as she stands in front of her father.

"Don't worry Gamba. I'll keep my mouth shut but you got to tell the kid the truth. Go ahead. Tell her." Bill says as Gamba looks at him.

"Tell me what?" Chris asks as Jupiter walks over to beside bill.

"You were behind the attack on miss Wilbur weren't you Gamba? You were determined to find the crown at all costs so you disguised the baboon to resemble the tokolosh. And then trained it to attack anyone who came near the cave. To scare them away. Isn't that right?" Jupiter asks as the Alexis, Bob, and Peter go over to the others.

"No!" Chris says as she tries to go towards Jupiter but gets pulled back by Gamba.

"It's true. I did it. I found sir Heratio's tomb but the crown is not here. I guess it's just a story." Gamba says as he looks at Bill.

"Why are you saying this?" Chris asks as she looks at her father before at Jupiter as he looks down.

*Timeskip*

"Hey did what are you doing here?" Peter asks as the group goes outside to see Peter's father and some other men.

"Bill called me. I've been looking for you. I asked you to stay away from the detective business and what have you been doing? Wandering into a township, breaking into miss Wilbur's house, and now climbing into an underground cave." Mr. Crenshaw says angrily.

"We can explain." Peter says.

"No you can not! I can lose my job over this. Your trip is over. Here are tickets for you boys and Alexis. You leave tomorrow. Don't lose them." Mr. Crenshaw says as Farraday comes over with Gamba.

"Gamba's responsible for the attack on miss Wilbur. He disguised a baboon to resemble a spirit. This is the mask he used." Jupiter says as he comes over and shows Mr. Crenshaw and Farraday the mask.

"No it's not true!" Chris shouts sadly as Gamba looks at her.

"So? Caught red handed. Let's get you off to the police Gamba." Farraday says as he leaves with Gamba as Chris tries to follow but gets stopped by bill.

"I trusted you! I thought you all were my friends!" Chris shouts angrily as she looks at Alexis and the boys.

"Hut we are your friends. Isn't that right Jupiter?" Bob asks as he looks at Jupiter who stays quit as he looks down before Chris leaves with Bill and Mr. Crenshaw.

"This is one time I wish we'd lost the case." Peter says.

"You and me both. I can't imagine how Chris is feeling right now." Alexis says feeling sorry for Chris before Bob and Peter walk off as Alexis places a hand on Jupiter's shoulder causing him to look at her.

"Jupiter we all feel bad but there's nothing we can do. Like you said before we can't deny evidence. We should go catch up to the others." Alexis says as Jupiter nods before walking with Alexis to catch up to Bob and Peter.
