"I feel much better now that I had a decent meal. Surprised the others didn't wake up when I got out of the tent." Alexis says as she is walking in wolf form after having went hunting for squirrels before stopping seeing the sheriff and his dog with the others at the tent causing the dog to see Alexis and start barking. Alexis then walks over and growls as she shows her fangs at the dog causing it bark and growl more.
"I didn't realize there were wolves out here. All the more reason you kids need to leave." The sheriff says as he points his gun at Alexis.
"Wait! Don't shoot! She's actually not wild." Peter says as he gets in front of Alexis.
"That wolf belong to one of you? Say wasn't there a blonde haired girl you boys? Where is she?" The sheriff asks as he looks around.
"Yes. This wolf actually belongs to our friend Alexis. Alexis just went for a walk and Sky must of came back without her. Sky is part siberian husky and part artic wolf. Uh come here Sky." Jupiter says as Alexis goes over to sit beside him while growling lowly.
"Keep that mutt of hers on a leash next time. If I see her off leash without a collar again I won't hesitate to shoot if she attacks." The sheriff says as he hands Jupiter a collar before looking at Alexis and she growls slightly.
"Yes sir. Sorry sir." Jupiter says as he puts the collar on Alexis and holds onto it.
"Sky?" Alexis asks as she waits until the sheriff is out of sight to transform into human form.
"Sorry. Last minute thinking. We gave the sheriff our card. That would explain how Caroline knew our names and she must of seen Alexis transform outside the castle from a window inside. Look we have to follow him. He'll lead us to her." Jupiter says as he goes to walk after the sheriff.
"You're kidding!? If he finds me anywhere close to her he'll... I'm dead." Bob says as Peter and Jupiter keep walking.
"Um what exactly happened while I was gone?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Don't ask." Bob says as Alexis looks baffled before shrugging and following the boys.
*Timeskip*
"What's that smell?" Peter asks as the group hide behind a steel trough after following the officer to his and Caroline's house and listen to their conversation until the officer leaves.
"Alexis stay out here in wolf form. Okay? Bark three times if you see the officer coming back. We're gonna go question Caroline." Jupiter says as Alexis nods.
"Um you do remember that he threatened to shoot your girlfriend right Jupe? " Peter asks as he looks at Jupiter.
"I'll be okay. Besides he'll have to be able to keep me on target first before he can shoot me." Alexis says.
"Just be careful and stay out of sight to be safe." Jupiter says as Alexis nods before going over beside bushes and shifts to wolf form as she lays down while watching the boys go inside after Caroline invites them in. Not long after Alexis then hears a truck getting close and sees the officer's truck in the distance before quickly hiding in some bushes as she then starts barking.
"Come on guys. Get out of there. Oh shoot." Alexis says as she then sees the officer's dog coming her way as it begins growling and snapping as Alexis jumps over it to avoid getting bit.
"Back off big boy. I'm the wrong wolf to tangle with." Alexis says as she growls lowly before head butting the dog away from her as the boys come running over with the sheriff behind them causing the group to quickly take off running in the woods as the sheriff and his dog chase after them.
"That was too close." Peter says as the group hide while watching the officer and his dog leave.
"No we're too close." Jupiter says as he scrunches his nose in disgust before looking at Peter.
"What are you covered in Pete? You reak." Alexis says as she whines and backs away from Peter before shifting to human form and covering her nose as Peter stands up covered in dirt and muk.
"What?" Peter asks as he looks at Bob who is trying not to laugh.
"Nothing." Bob says as he is trying not to laugh.
"Let's go." Jupiter says as he gestures for the others to follow.
*Timeskip*
"Ouch!" Peter says in pain as Alexis is brushing his hair to get the remainder of the substance he fell in out along with the dirt and muk where he fell.
"Will you hold still? I've almost got it all out. There." Alexis says as she stops brushing through Peter's hair before the two join Jupiter and Bob outside the tent.
"I think I found something. Bob and I were watching the tape and I found something in it. What if my parent's accident wasn't really an accident. They were trying to stop someone from stealing Terrill's secret. Somebody they thought was dangerous. Somebody who would try again if they failed. So who was that somebody?" Jupiter asks as he walks in front of the group as the others are sitting on a log.
"The clown in the warehouse!" Peter says.
"And the person who stole the dancer's head." Jupiter says.
"The sheriff." Bob says.
"It all makes sense. We all heard the sheriff tell Caroline he had been gone for a couple of days." Jupiter says.
"One problem. We don't got any proof and it's not wise to go accusing someone of the law without any." Alexis says.
"Right. That's why we have to get back to Terror Castle." Jupiter says as he grabs his backpack and begins to walk off.
"Hold on a minute. There's no way I'm going back into that house! Do you remember the ghost?" Peter asks as he, Alexis, and bob stand up while Jupiter stops and looks at them.
"There's no ghost. Look we had the dancer's head. My mother said the dancer will show us the way to Terrill's secret. Now we have to get back up there before the sheriff realizes that we're onto him." Jupiter says as he walks over to the others.
"Jupiter I'm not going back in that house." Peter says as Jupiter looks at Bob.
"Two people may have already been killed in this case. I think it's a little out of our league." Bob says.
"Alexis?" Jupiter asks as Alexis gives a nervous look.
"Jupiter I know this case means a lot to you but I think it's best to know when to call it quits. I don't want to see any of you get killed." Alexis says.
"Fine. I'll do it alone." Jupiter says as he begins to walk off.
"I don't think your parents would of wanted you to risk your life to solve this case." Bob says as Jupiter stops and walks over to the group.
"Don't you see? This may be the man who killed my parents. I can't give up on this case. I just thought if anything Alexis you would know why I have to do this." Jupiter says as Alexis looks at him.
"Excuse me?" Alexis asks offhandedly.
"You heard me Alexis. I thought you may understand but I can see you don't. I was wrong about you." Jupiter says.
"I understand what it's like to lose your parents Jupiter and want more than anything to have peace with that knowledge but the one thing I don't understand is you. If you think that way about me just because I don't want you to get yourself killed then so be it. You'll do it without me. I guess we were both wrong." Alexis says angrily before she picks up her stuff.
"Alexis come on. What happened to the four investigators stick together no matter what?" Peter asks as Alexis looks at him.
"Well then I guess I'm not an investigator. I can't be around someone who doesn't trust me Pete and I won't watch people I care about get themselves killed. I'm sorry. I draw the line on that nerve being struck twice." Alexis says sadly as she walks off.
