Part 12: Andrea's visit

Josephine Rogers POV

The little girl Daryl found: Madison James {MJ} was sitting beside me. Everyone was arguing on what to do. Hershel was saying we should run. Dad was saying he agreed with Rick. Mommy wanted to leave. Merle was telling us to leave. Daryl agreed with Glenn.

I sighed. Maddie then gently rested her head on my shoulder. I smiled. She instantly bonded with me. 

I made sure Madison was taking a nap. I walked down the stairs to hear Dad arguing with something. "That's before there was a snake in the nest." Dad argued. "Man, we gonna go through this again? Look, Merle's staying here. He's with us now. Get used to it." Daryl snapped. "Hey-" Rick tried. "All y'all. Josie's the only one who's got along with him!" Daryl snapped angrily. 

I sighed as he walked up the stairs. "Seriously, Rick, I don't think Merle living here is really gonna fly." Dad stated. "I can't kick him out." Rick hissed. 

"I wouldn't ask you to live with Shane after he tried to kill you!" Dad snarled. I looked. "Merle has military experience. He may be erratic, but don't underestimate his loyalty to Daryl." I stated. 

"What if we solve both problems at once? Deliver Merle to the Governor. Bargaining chip. Give him his traitor, maybe declare a truce." Dad suggested. I looked at him. 

I walked to Daryl's cell. I smiled. "Hey. Haven't had a chance to see you." I said. He nodded. "I'm glad your back." He told me. I smiled. "Heard you were looking for me." I said. Daryl nodded. 

I smiled sadly at him and walked out. Ever since I got back, my stomach is highly sensative. I was sitting in my cell and saw Optimus walk in. "Hey." He walked over to me. I smiled. 

"Why does your stomach hurt? I can feel it through the bond." He told me. I smiled. When I got back, Optimus had me bond with him the only way I could, with me touching his spark with my hand. We can hear each other's thoughts, feel everything the other one felt, and share emotions. 

"I don't know. Ever since we got back, my stomach's been hurting." I mumbled. 

Optimus nodded. 

"DAD!" Carl yelled. 

Me, Optimus, Blade, Michonne, Rick, Daryl, Merle, Dad and Carol all ran outside. 

Rick checked. 

Merle then ran out. "Clear!" He yelled. Rick, Daryl and Merle ran to the gate. "Are you alone?" Rick yelled. "Open the gate."

"ARE YOU ALONE?!" Rick repeated. "Rick!"

I dropped the gun and looked at Andrea. Blade stood on the other side of me. 

We walked inside and I stood beside Blade. "Hershel, my God..." Andrea said at his leg. "I can't believe this. Where's Shane?" Andrea asked. Rick didn't answer. 

"And Lori?"

"Lori had a girl. She didn't survive." Hershel said. "Neither did T-dog." Mommy said. "I'm so sorry. Carl." She turned to Rick. "Rick..."

Rick backed up from Andrea. "You all live here?" Andrea asked. "In here and the cellblock." Optimus answered. "There? Can I go in?" She asked. "I won't allow that." Rick stated firmly. I knew he was protective because of Judith and Maddie. She's still hurt. "I'm not an enemy, Rick." Andrea argued.

"We had that field and courtyard until your boyfrined tore down the fence with a truck and shot us up." Rick snapped. "He said you fired first." Andrea said. 

"Well, he's lying." Rick said bluntly. "He killed an inmate who survived in here." Hershel said. "We liked him. He was one of us." Daryl said. "I didn't know anything about that. As soon as I found out, I came. I didn't even know you were in woodbury until after the shootout." Andrea said. 

"That was days ago." Dad snapped. "I told you, I came as soon as I could." She then turned to me and Blade. "What have you told them?" She snapped at him. "Nothing. Her mother witnessed the true colors of your boyfriend."

"What true colors?" Andrea asked. "He's a rapist." Blade snarled. She stared at him. "He's not!"

"He is. I watched him rape Jo." Mommy said. I tensed. "She lied. Both of you are. He would never do that-" I stormed in the cell block and stayed in my room for the rest of the night.
