Part 18: Searching for family

Josephine Rogers Rhee POV

I woke up and noticed I was in the back of some truck. I looked and saw Riley was laying in the truck with me. I then saw my father beside me. I sat up.

"Hey. Joey. Take it easy." He told me.

"O-On the way here did we pass a bus?" I asked. He nodded. "I didn't see it properly." He told me. "King. Where's Predaking!" I yelled.

I turned to the window. "Hey stop the truck."

Dad hit the window with the butt of his gun. Soon it slowed down. I heard a roar.

I got out of the back and saw Predaking he cooed. "Predaking! Wheres Optimus! He was with us!" I yelled. He transformed. "Something spooked him and he drove off. I think it was something from his past." He told me. I groaned.

Dad grabbed our stuff and we started to walk off. The man started to tell us to get back in the truck. I stared at him. "I don't need you. I have three dragons and a damn predacon." I sneered.

Me and Dad tried to leave but the man tried to insist.

We tried to walk off and Abraham tried to tell us we won't ever find our family. I dropped my bag. So Did Dad. He punched Abraham.

"I'm going to find them." He stated.

We started to walk when Abraham tackled him. "HEY! GET OFF HIM!" I yelled.

I tried to stop him and he hit my stomach. I flinched. I dropped and Riley nuzzled me. We then heard gunfire.

Predaking bent down near me. "You okay, little spark?" He asked. I nodded.

Predaking's holoform checked the cuts on my stomach. He winced as he looked. "We'll, I'm no medic but I think you're okay. You didn't rip any stitches." He told me. I nodded.

He rewrapped my stomach and we followed Dad. Soon Abraham and his people followed us. I sighed and walked. Predaking walked beside me and the other three were in the air circling above us.

I was walking in the front with King. He then noticed something. I looked at it. GLENN JOSEPHINE GO TO TERMINUS! MAGGIE SASHA BOB AND OPTIMUS.

I widened my eyes.

I winced as my stomach was hurting. "Hold up!" King yelled. "We're stopping here!" King yelled. He noticed how I was getting weak.

"It's barely noon." Dad said. "Jo's stomach is acting up seeing as that fragger hit her stomach. It's sensative." King yelled.

We heard a sound. "MOVE!"

I tripped and hurt my leg. I winced. "Jo?!" Dad ran to me. "Hey." He helped me stand. "You okay, baby." He told me softly.

I nodded. "You want to stop or keep going?" He asked. "Keep going. I'm good!" I said. "You sure?" He asked. "Yeah. Yeah."

"Look. If she can keep going. We all can keep going." Dad said.

"You are an ass. She will follow you anywhere because you're her father. Man up!" Rosita snapped at my father. I sighed.

"You just care about keeping Eugene safe? I care about getting my daughter to her mother and brother. It's the only reason you want to stop? We go until sundown. I give Eugene my riot gear right here, right now. Everybody wins." Dad said.

"Except her!" Rosita said pointing to me. "You're not her mama." Abraham told Rosita. She threw her hands up frustrated.

I was limping and I winced. Riley then landed. She chittered and bent down. I sighed and got in her back.

She walked beside Dad. Predaking, Jackie, and Rosie were flying in the air.

We got to a tunnel and it was pitch black. We saw another sign from mom.

"Shut up for a second! Listen." Abraham said. We listened and heard multiple walkers. I looked at Predaking. He shook himself.

We had to part ways and I was going with dad. I got off my dragon and Rosita hugged me. I smiled. "Be careful." I nodded. "Don't be an ass." She told Glenn.  I smiled.

We walked into the tunnel.

We got inside and saw a lot of walkers over some Rocks. Predaking growled.

I slipped and I fell. I cried out and a rock fell on. "Jo? WhAt is it? What is it?"

We both tried to lift the rock. It wasn't working. Predaking grabbed the Rock And threw it. "Dad. Go find Mommy. Go find mom."

"No. No!"

"Dad, you can't save me. Even if I could I can't run!" I said. I saw the walkers getting close. "Dad. They're coming!"

"I'm not leaving you. I'm not leaving you!" He hissed.

"GET OUT OF HERE!" I yelled. He looked st me. "GO!"

"No."

He started to fire at the walkers. "Come on! Come on!" He yelled.

"Get down!"

Predaking covered me and Dad. We heard gunfire. Predaking raised himself off of us. I looked.

Mom and Optimus stood in front of us. I hugged Optimus tightly. He hugged me and I sobbed in him. "Oh, thank God." He hugged me tightly.

I winced as Optimus was laying with me. He smiled and kissed my head. Riley was laying her head in my lap.

I sighed.

He then grabbed the picture he had of me. "I kept this while I was looking for you." I smiled. I grabbed lighter. "Hey. This is the only picture I have of you." He told me.

"You won't need one." I said. Optimus smiled and I burned the picture. "In plus it looks terrible." I said. He laughed.

We got to terminus and me and Optimus stayed behind with the dragons.
