3rd POV
Optimus sighed as he got dressed. There was an X scar on his back. He then pulled on a shirt.
He was on his horse whose name was Stranger. He then rode up to the group. He sighed. "Change of plans." he threw something to Judith. "There a place a lot like this one. The leader might take you in. I'll escort you personally, talk to her." Optimus said.
"You gonna take them to Hilltop?" Siddiq asked. "With you and Gracie. You gotta keep an eye on your patient and I need to keep an eye on my daughter."
Optimus smiled at Judith.
Riley roared as she flew up into the air. She was then landed by Rosita. She nuzzled her. Rosita smiled. Riley then grabbed her and she flew up into the air.
Optimus was riding his horse beside the carriage beside Siddiq. Rose and Gracie came with them. "How much further have the patrols cleared?" He asked.
"Til the Route D river bend. Their rig's about five miles past that. If their story checks out." DJ said.
"You'd feel better if you just say it." Optimus told Siddiq. "What makes you think I want to say something?" He asked. "I'm not hearing you deny it." Prime said.
"I was gonna tell you that I'm glad you changed your mind about them." Siddiq said.
"But you think I should've let them stay in Alexandria." Optimus started. "Well, you're going pretty far out of your way not to. Considering."
"Considering what?" He asked. "That you like these guys?" Optimus raised an eyebrow at Siddiq.
"That's like saying I'm addicted to killing people. It's not true." Optimus said. Siddiq smiled. "I mean, I'm not hearing you deny it." Optimus snickered.
Gracie's horse rode beside Optimus. They heard Magma arguing with the others. "Look, I'm sorry about Magma, she can be a bit hardheaded." Yumiko apologized to Optimus.
"That's one word for it." Optimus grumbled. "She's been in edge since we lost Bernie."
"Was he with you long?" Gracie asked. "Long enough. He loved getting under Magma's skin. He, um, used to wear this absolutely horrid shirt. It was like looking into creation itself." Yumiko told them.
Optimus smiled.
"This place, Hilltop? Is it safe?" Yumiko asked. "It is."
"What's it like?" She asked. "I wouldn't know. I haven't been there in a while but I know my mother is the leader there."
Optimus sighed as they were on the road to Hilltop and two riders came down. Optimus frowned.
He found out his mother took off with Hershel. "Those spears. You from Hilltop?" Optimus asked.
"We are. You?" The man asked. "Alexandria."
"We're headed there now. We have one of yours. Rosita Espinosa." Optimus paled.
They then got into the gates.
Optimus made his horse go faster to find her. He got into Hilltop. He stopped when he saw Daryl. The two haven't talked to each other since Negan.
Optimus was sitting beside Rosita and she woke up and he was holding her hand. He sighed.
"Marcella told me what happened." Tara told him. "Yeah... it was an accident. I got drunk. I've been getting drunk a lot without her. Should've been watching what she was drinking..."
"Optimus?"
He turned. "Hey. Don't get up."
She sat up. "Where am I?" She asked. "We're at Hilltop. Riley found you."
"How long have I been here?" She asked. "Just a little over a day. But you got to take it easy."
"No. Eugene — he's still out there." Rosita said.
"We know. We know. Daryl took Riley and she's hunting for Eugene. We both know she'll find him. Rosita—"
She got up instantly. Optimus frowned.
She told Optimus what was happening. He paled. "SHIT!"
He whistled. He activated his true form. Predaking landed. Optimus climbed in his back.
"GO!" Predaking roared and he flew off PoisonFang behind him. Others followed the metal dragons.
Predaking roared and everyone moved. He smashed the gate and the wall. He roared. Riley then landed and Rosespark was on him. "COME ON!" Everyone climbed up on the dragon. She saw some walkers. "Jesus! COME ON!" Aaron yelled. He killed a walker and went to swipe at one when it ducked and stabbed him in the back.
Optimus widened his optics horrified. "No!"
Predaking roared and fired his blast. Everyone ducked as the fake walkers got caught in the fire. Riley growled. Everyone stared at Jesus. Riley then let everyone off. "Hey. Come here." Daryl said to Optimus. He activated his holoform. He saw Daryl take off what looked like a mask.
Daryl snatched it off. They widened their eyes.
Suddenly the dragons growled. Everyone turned. Dog started to bark. Predaking roared. "Get in the dragons. NOW!"
