{ABOVE IS OPTIMUS PRIME'S HOLOFORM^}

Josephine Rogers POV

I stood between Maggie and Optimus. "So what's the plan? Are we keeping him here?" Lori asked.

"Is there a plan?" Andrea asked. "We'll know soon enough." Rick siad and motioned to Daryl. We turned. I felt myself blush at Daryl. I looked down. "Boy, there's got a gang, 30 men. They got heavy artillery and they ain't looking to make friends." Daryl told us. "They roll through here, our boys are dead. And our women, they're gonna-- They're gonna wish they were." Daryl told us.

I looked at Maggie. She then gently rubbed my back.

"What'd you do?" I asked Daryl. "Had a little chat." He said. I sighed. "No one goes near this guy." Rick ordered.

"Rick, what are you gonna do?" Lori asked. "We have no choice. He's a threat. We have to eliminate the threat." Rick said. "So you're just gonna kill him?" Dale asked.

"It's settled. I'll do it tonight."

Maggie put her hand on my back softly. "Come on, Sweetie."

We walked back to the house.

I was laying in bed and Optimus was playing with me. "Doodlebug. Doodlebug. Because you doodle like a bug." He teased. I laughed. Optimus smiled. We then noticed Glenn. "How are you, Josie?" He asked.

"Better." I said. "She's in good spirits today. Aren't you, Doodlebug?" Optimus teased. I giggled. He kissed my forehead. I had a bandage on my wrist. "Come on." I stood up with Optimus.

Me and Optimus walked outside with Glenn. We saw Maggie. "Okay, so me and Glenn both made this decision. How would you like it if me and him both became your parents?" Maggie asked me and Optimus. "I would love it!" I squealed as I hugged Maggie tightly. She smiled and hugged me back. "Just as long as we can call her, Doodlebug." Optimus joked. We all laughed.

We all then hugged.

I was sitting between Optimus and Maggie. I was leaning my head on Optimus's shoulder and Maggie was holding my hand. "So how do we do this? Just take a vote?" Maggie asked.

"Does it have to be unanimous?" Andrea asked. "How about Majority rules?" Lori asked.

"Well, let's just see where everyone stands then we can talk through the options." Rick said. "The way I see it, there's only one way to move forward." Shane said.

"You know what? I stand with keeping him alive!" Optimus said as he stood up. Everyone turned. "Every sentient being deserves a chance for redemption!" Optimus spoke up. Dale smiled.

"Couldn't we continue keeping him prisoner?" I asked. "Just another mouth to feed." Daryl spoke. "It may be a lean winter." Hershel said. "We could ration better." Lori said.

"Well, he could be an asset. Give him a chance to prove himself." Dale said. "Put him to work?" Glenn said. "We're not letting him walk around." Rick snapped. "We could put an escort on him." Maggie suggested. "Who wants to volunteer for that duty?" Shane snapped.

"I will." Optimus said. "I don't think any of us should be walking around with this guy." Rick snapped. "He's right. I-I wouldn't feel safe unless he was tied up." I admitted. "We can't exactly put chains on his ankles, and sentence him to hard labor." Andrea retorted.

"Look, say we let him join us, right? Maybe he's helpful, maybe he's nice. We let our guard down and maybe he runs off, brings back his 30 men." Shane said trying to make a point. "So the answer is to kill him for a crime he may never commit?" Dale asked. "If we do this, we're saying there's no hope. Rule of law is dead. There is no civilization." Dale snapped.

"Oh, my God." Shane snapped. "Could you drive him further out?" Hershel asked. "You barely came back this time." Lori said. "There are walkers. You could break down. You could get lost."

"Or ambushed." Daryl said. "They're right. We should not put our own people at risk." Glenn agreed.

"If you go through with it, how would you do it? Would he suffer?" Patricia asked.

"We could hang him, right? Just snap his neck." Shane suggested. "I thought about that. Shooting may be more humane." Rick said. "And what about the body?" T-dog asked. "Do we bury him?"

"Hold on, Hold on. You're talking about this like it's already decided."

I sighed as I rubbed my face. "Stop it. Just stop it. I'm sick of everybody arguing and fighting. I didn't ask for this. You can't ask us to decide something like this. Please, decide-- either of you, both of you-- But leave me out of it." I said.

I then walked up to Maggie's room.
