Part 24: Alexandria

Josephine Rogers Rhee POV

I was on Predaking as he was in his Dragon mode. We heard a roar. Everyone looked up. I smiled. Rosie, Jackie, Riley, and Poisonfang were all flying in the air.

Everyone at the gate widened their eyes when they saw four dragons flying ahead. I smirked. I got off Predaking. He then flew up into the air.

I stood beside my brother's holoform. We walked inside and I held onto my brother's bicep. He looked around.

"Before we take this any further, I need you all to hand over your weapons. Stay, you hand them
Over." the man said. "We don't know if we want to stay," Rick stated. "It's fine, Nicholas," Aaron said.

"If we were gonna use them, we would have started already." Rick continued. "Let them talk to Deanna first," Aaron said. "Who's Deanna?" Abraham demanded. "She knows everything you want to know about this place," Aaron said. "Rick, why don't you start?"

"Sasha." she shot the walker. "It's a good thing we're here," Rick said.

I sighed as I was in the house me and Optimus was given. Optimus looked around. "I don't like this." He grumbled. I smiled.

I walked up into a room and I smiled. I heard a chitter. I knew my Predacons could adjust their size. I saw Poisonfang run into the room.

I was lying on the couch. I was lying on Optimus. We were reading a book. "Okay. Two things. 1) You're reading too fast, and 2) What even is this book?!" he asked.

I giggled. "Hey. Put the book down. Time for bed." Mom told us. I grumbled.

I put it down and I laid down and fell asleep on my brother's chest. He smiled and kissed my head. I was basically a medic and was helping with the medicine.

Optimus was standing beside his father. He, his father, Tara, and Noah were on the scavenging crew for the place. "Glenn, Noah, Tara, and Optimus?" Aiden asked. "Nice to meet you. I'm Aiden. You met Nicholas pulling gate duty."

Optimus narrowed his eyes at Nicholas. He was getting a bad vibe from him. "You're Deanna's son?" Optimus asked.

"Thats right. I hear you got experience making supply runs." Aiden said.

"I saw your pantry. You guys seem to do pretty well." Glenn said. "Yeah, well, had some training before this. ROTC. Was nearing lieutenant when this shit blew in." Aiden said.

"I was a commander in the military." Optimus pointed out. "Being a lieutenant or a commander isn't a fun expirence." Optimus said.

Aiden glared at him. "Don't mind my son. He's not usually like this." Glenn said giving Optimus a pointed look.

They gave everyone their weapons. Optimus glared at Nicholas.

"What is with you?!" Glenn hissed at his son. "I don't trust Nicholas." He growled.

I woke up and sighed. I got up and went to the infirmary. I walked there with Rosita. We got inside and saw a man. "Hello. Do you need anything looked at?" He asked. Me and Rosita shook our heads. "We were told we would be the assistants." I said.

He nodded. "You can rearrange the medicine in alphabetical order." He told us. I looked at Rosita. She shrugged.

I then helped her organize them.

I sighed. "Just so you know, your brother is hot." Rosita told me. I snickered. "Don't you have a boyfriend?" I asked. She nodded.

I walked outside and saw Optimus was back. I could feel he was pissed. I walked up. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked. "Fucking Dumbass almost killed Tara." Optimus snarled. "Hey." Aiden touched his arm. He looked at him livid.

"Look we got a way of doing things around here," Aiden said. "You tied up walkers." Optimus pointed out.

"It killed our friend." Rosita walked over. "Look, I'm not having this conversation. You obey my orders out there." Aiden started.

"Then we're just as screwed as your last run crew." My brother sneered. I tensed.

"Say that again." Aiden sneered. "Hey, back off Aiden," I said. He shoved my brother. He was trying hard to remain calm. "Comemon, man. Take a step back." Dad said. "Come on, tough guy." Aiden sneered.

"No one's impressed, man. Walk away." Optimus told him.

"Aiden!" Deanna yelled. I saw Mom beside her. "What is going on?" She asked. "This guy's got a problem with the way we do things. Why'd you let these people in?" Aiden asked.

"Because we actually know what we're doing out there." My brother stated. Aiden swung. "Aiden, no!" Deanna yelled. He missed and Optimus punched him.

Nicholas charged but Daryl tackles him.

I then got in front of Aiden. "You want to end up on your ass again?" I asked. He raised his arms in surrender.

I then turned to Daryl. "Hey." I got in front of him and he stopped. "I want everyone to hear me, okay? Rick and his people are part of this community, now, in all ways as equals. Understood?!" Deanna said clearly to everyone.

"Understood." Aiden said at her look. "All of you, turn in your weapons. Then you two, come talk to me." Deanna said. I sighed. Daryl circled behind me. Deanna asked Rick to be her constable. Her and Michonne.

They said yes and Daryl scoffed and walked off. I sighed. He gently squeezed my shoulder before he left. "Thank you," Deanna said to Optimus. "For what?" he asked tiredly.

"For knocking him on his ass." she said. Optimus nodded. I smiled at her. I then walked off with my brother.

I was sitting on the couch and Optimus had his head on my stomach. I smiled and ran my hand through his hair. He sighed.

I kissed his head. Mom then walked over. "You okay, Optimus?" He nodded. "He reminds me of someone I don't want to be reminded of." He said.

I knew who he was talking about.
