Part 30: The sanctuary

Josephine Rogers Rhee POV

We got inside and we stood behind Negan. Everyone instantly bowed to him. "The Saviors have gone out into the world and fought The dead and come back with some really good stuff. Some of that stuff can be yours if you work hard and play by the rules." Negan looked at me.

"Today, everybody gets fresh vegetables at dinner. No points needed." Negan said. Everyone clapped.

"You see that? Respect. Cool, huh. They still on their knee's?" Negan asked me. I nodded. "As you were!"

I stared at the workers and I felt sad.

I got in the room and saw Negan's wives. I looked at Marcella. She held my hand softly. I saw Dwight's wife look at me.

I looked down. I sniffled. My hounds stood beside me. I then saw Daryl walk in.

He looked at me. I felt like crying. I missed Daryl.

"Marcella, will you grab this tray for me?" She nodded. She took it.

"Why do you have her here?" Daryl growled. "Whoa! What we talk about when you're not here, is none of your business."

"She's pregnant with my child. She is my business." Daryl sneered. "Oh, she didn't tell you?" I looked at Negan. Daryl turned to me. "She lost it."

"Jo. Go in a room with Daryl. Explain to him what happened." Negan commanded me.

I did as he said and as soon as he shut the door Daryl hugged me tightly. I cried on his shoulder.

"Mom and Optimus are dead! They never came back!" I sobbed. "I know, baby. Shh! It's okay." He whispered. He then kissed me on the lips.

"You're gonna be okay. I promise you." He whispered.

"I will get you and Marcella out of here. That's a promise." I nodded. He kissed my head softly.

I was laying with my head in Marcella's lap. I sighed. I then fell asleep.

I woke up. I saw Daryl. "Come on. I'm getting you and her out of here!" I nodded. We sneaked outside and Riley landed. She cooed. Daryl started to unhook his motorcycle.

We then saw Fat Joey. "Woah, hey, I'll let you guys go out the back gate. I'm just trying to get through here!"

Daryl then hit him with the pole. He hit him repeatedly. "Daryl..." Jesus said shocked. "It isn't just about getting by here. It's about getting it all." Daryl said.

We got on the bike.

I got outside and saw Optimus. I stared at him. "Optimus?" I asked. He turned and I tackled him. He hugged me just as tight. He sighed and hugged me. Mom saw me and she hugged the both of us.

"Don't leave me again!" I sobbed. He nodded. "I promise not to. I will always be by your side, pookie. I promise." He rested his forehead on mine.

I sniffled and he hugged me.
