When Mia got home that evening, Oli had dinner ready for her as he usually did when he had spare time and she told him how excited she was for the Black Veil Brides tour over dinner.
"I'm so proud of you," he grinned at her adoringly. "I can't believe PowerSound pulled out of it!"
"Me either," Mia mumbled through a mouthful of food. "I'm glad they did though. I've been a massive fan of them for years!"
Oli looked at her a bit weirdly.
"What's that look for?" Mia questioned, half playfully.
"You've never mentioned them before, that's all."
"That's because I sort of grew out of them," Mia shrugged. "Plus they've not really done anything for a while, I guess this tour will be promoting new stuff, so I'll give it a listen beforehand."
"That makes sense," Oli mused. "Interesting supports there too."
"Yeah, that's what I thought!" Mia swallowed her last mouthful of food and took her plate over to the sink to rinse. "Falling In Reverse kind of makes sense, musically at least, but I'm not a huge fan of them. Obviously, I'll do my job, but I'm not going to go out of my way to befriend them or anything."
Oli watched her as she continued animatedly. He absolutely loved how devoted to her work she was; how excited she got over every opportunity to work with someone new, no matter how big or small they were. Of course, they struggled when either one or both of them were away, but they both knew they'd be back together sooner or later.
"I'm really excited to work with Paramore though!" Mia gushed, clasping her hands to her chest and getting a dreamy look on her face. "I never knew whether I wanted to be Hayley Williams or be with her when I was younger! She's just the fucking coolest!"
Oli smirked and raised an eyebrow at her. Both of them were entirely comfortable with their own and each other's sexualities and some of those ideas had made it into their bedroom fantasies. They were monogamous and entirely devoted to one another, but would occasionally play role-reversal games and they had brought out so many undiscovered kinks within each other and they were sure there would be many more.
"Do we need to bring the Hayley persona into our little fantasy collection?" Oli said with a wicked grin.
Mia gasped and spun to face him, her eyes alight with desire.
"Oh my god," she squeaked. "Absolutely, yes! But I want to make sure we do it justice. We've got a week in the UK scheduled in the middle of this tour so that'll give me two weeks to gather information to make it as authentic as possible."
Oli scooped her up in his arms and enveloped her with a searing kiss.
"Ugh, that's ages away!" He whined, running his hands lightly across her back.
"Well, it's still three weeks before I even leave yet," Mia stood on her tiptoes and leaned in to whisper, her breath warm against the shell of his ear. "Maybe you should take some of that time to remind me why I married you instead of holding out for Hayley then."
Oli gawped at her for just a second before eclipsing her mouth with another kiss, silencing her giggles and quickly turning them into moans as he darted his tongue against her lips. Mia was putty in his hands, immediately melting into him and letting her instincts take over. He pulled away briefly, his eyes completely alight as he stared into the depths of her expired heart, her chest feeling like it was pounding inside of her once again.
