CW: Mentions of emotions relating to growing a family, Mia being a bit self-conscious, Oli experiencing some surprising feelings. No smut, just a lot of sweet feelings from everyone.

Just as Mia had anticipated, the rest of the week was super busy at work. Sam was trying his best to keep her updated with things, but he was in a different time zone and that made communication quite difficult. By the time Friday rolled around, Mia was absolutely exhausted, and she slept in until almost lunchtime on Saturday.

Oli had been awake for a couple of hours already, making sure to keep on top of a few little jobs around the house. Mia was under a lot of stress at work and he wanted to do what he could to help relieve some of that at home. He could be a bit untidy at times, but he made sure to put in more effort for now. There was no touring for him for a little while and he and the rest of the band had decided to take some well-deserved time off. Though Oli still spent time in his home studio, doing the occasional bit of songwriting, he was more than happy to be a homebody.

Besides, Mia was going away in two weeks, and he wanted to spend time with her before she went. He'd spent some of this week planning her surprise for the weekend before she was due to leave and he was very pleased with himself. There were a couple more things to sort out, but they could wait.

The sound of her soft footsteps on the stairs behind him made him look up at her. Even with bedhead and puffy, tired eyes, she was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen and it made his soul swell. She offered him a sleepy smile as she stumbled into the kitchen and he greeted her with a deep, but sweet kiss.

"Morning, love. Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah, I think so," Mia yawned, sliding onto a stool at the counter. "I could sleep for another week but thought I should probably get up."

Oli slid a fresh mug of coffee and a small bottle of reddish liquid across the counter towards her before turning and popping some bagels in the toaster. Mia unscrewed the cap on the red bottle, adding a few drops to the coffee and sipping gratefully at the hot liquid. A satisfied moan escaped her throat as the caffeine and synthetic blood mixture began to hit her.

"What time are we heading off to Josh and Lisa's?" She wrapped both of her hands around the mug, absentmindedly tapping against it with her left hand, the rings adorning her fingers making a tinkling noise as they collided with the ceramic.

"About one-thirtyish?" Oli checked the time against the clock on the wall. "I'm going to take a drive through the town on the way to pick up that gift I ordered, so if we leave about twelve forty-five, we should still have plenty of time."

Mia nodded, sipping at her coffee again and absentmindedly calculating how long she'd need to get ready. It was eleven thirty now, so she had just over an hour. She'd have loved a bit more time ideally, just to chill for a bit. The last week had taken a lot out of her, but it would all be worth it when she started the biggest tour of her career so far in a few weeks. Even the My Chemical Romance tour she'd been sent on right after she first joined Metal Focus hadn't felt as big as this, but that was less than a week from beginning to end, and she had already been friends with Gerard and the guys beforehand.

The sound of the bagels popping out of the toaster jolted her from her thoughts and Oli slipped onto the stool across from her as he passed her the warm bread topped with smashed avocado.

"Are you okay, love?" Oli looked at her with his brows knotted together. "You're really distracted."

"I'm fine," Mia sighed heavily. "Work has just been really tiring, but I expected it to be for a while."

Oli's face was still screwed up in concern and he reached across the counter to take her hand, squeezing it gently but affectionately.

"Please don't burn yourself out, love. I know you love your work, but you can just talk to Ethan if you think it's getting too much."
