Sam’s POV
“Holy shit Scarlett this house is huge.” I say as I pull into the driveway. “It’s not that big for a house in L.A.” She says. “It’s bigger than my brownstone in New York.” I tell her. “Ok I guess let’s head in.” She says and I follow her in. “Who are you?” I ask the woman on the couch. “SOMEONE’S HERE?!” Scarlett yells using me as a shield. “Oh it’s just Tina I told her to let herself in, we have a meeting today and I forgot.” Scarlett says. “Oh you’re the one that yelled at us over the phone when I posted the picture of Scarlett deepthroating a sandwich, her word not mine.” I say as I shake her hand. “Oh god she has no filter. Sorry Tina.” Scarlett says, giving her a hug. “So you two are living together?” Tina asks and Scarlett answers without hesitation “We’re a lesbian couple who have been together for 7 months of course we are.” She says and I burst out laughing. “We are a stereotypical lesbian couple.” I agree. “Well then if you’ll sign this please Samantha.” Tina says handing me an NDA? “First of all what the fuck. Second only my parents and Mama Sloan can call me Samantha it’s Sam to you and I’m not signing a fucking NDA to be with Scarlett I’ve known her longer than you and I’m her girlfriend. Fuck you.” I say tossing the NDA on the table and Scarlett picks it up. “Um Sam. This is so you can go on the MARVEL set.” Scarlett says. “Oh my god Miss Tina I’m so sorry I-I-I-I don’t know what to say.” I stutter over my words. “Oh Sam I’ve heard a lot worse from other artists, it’s always the musicians though. Who is your manager?” She asks. “Sam doesn’t have one; she produces and records all her music and handles all the other stuff herself.” Scarlett says and I nod. “Well I’ll be your manager if you’ll let me. You will still do the producing and recording if you want to be in charge of that but let me handle the press. Because to be honest you are horrible at it and have no filter.” Tina says. “Ok.” I shrug. “That was easy.” She says. “If Scarlett trusts you then so do I and I’ll sign the NDA sorry for yelling at you.” I say taking the NDA and Tina hands me a pen. “Perfect and I love the whole instagram thing you are doing. It's cute. Have a great day you two.” She says taking the NDA and leaving. “I feel so bad for snapping at her like that.” I say putting my hand on my face. “Hey you heard her, she's heard worse. Oh you remember when I used to write music?” She asks with a smile. “Yeah. I wish I was in New Orleans is one of my favorites why?” I ask. “Because I had a studio put in the basement but I don’t use it anymore so if you want it’s yours.” She says. “Are you serious?” I ask. “Yes, follow me.” She says leading me down stairs to the studio which is nicer than mine too and bigger. “Holy fuck.” I exhale. “Is that my old guitar?” I say pointing to the blue acoustic guitar set against a guitar stand. “Yeah you left it at my old place in New York and it got packed with my things. I may or may not have used it, sorry.” She admits. “You don’t have to be sorry. I think it’s nice you got a stand for it and everything. Looking around I see it’s the only one with its own stand that’s cute.” I say wrapping my arms around her. “This place is so cool.” I add. “I’m glad you think so. You can record that song Let it Burn you’ve been working on while you think I’m asleep all week.” She says. “Well the lyrics are done I just have to work on the instrumental parts and I am almost done with Control too.” I tell her. “I can’t wait to hear them. Oh the Downey’s are joining us for dinner by the way.” She says walking out. “WHAT?! That's like 9 hours I have time to finish my song. Do you think they’ll want to hear it?” I ask as I follow her back upstairs. “Probably Susan loves your music.” She tells me. “I’ll go work on it right now. This is so cool.” I say running to get my notebook from my bag and then back to the studio.

Scarlett’s POV
“Come on in guys.” I say as Robert and Susan knock on the door. “YES IT’S DONE!” Sam yells running into the room. “Which one?” I ask. “Let it Burn come on you three.” She says running back to the studio. We all go into the sound booth she put’s on her headphones and starts playing.

“Well what did you guys think?” She asks. “I loved it. I get why Susan likes your music so  much. You sang with such passion your eyes were closed the whole time.” Robert says. “Thank you, I try my best with each song.” Sam says. “It was an honor to see you record one of your songs thank you so much.” Susan says, giving Sam a hug with tears in her eyes. “I didn’t mean to make you cry, I'm sorry.” I tell her. “I don’t know if you know but dear you sing what so many people are feeling you make them feel like they're not alone.” Susan says and now I have tears in my eyes. “Thank you.” Sam says.
