Sam’s POV
We are currently in the R.V on the way to New York. Scarlett is 8 months pregnant now and really self conscious so I’m not adding pictures to my instagram posts. “Where are we?” Scarlett asks as she walks over and sits in the passenger's seat. “Kansas City Missouri (A/N that’s where I’m from.).” I tell her. “So halfway there.” She says. “Yeah we are going to be stopping here for the night.” I tell her. “Did you say we are in Kansas City?” Ma asks from the back. “Yes Ma we are.” I say with a smile. “I haven’t been back in ages.” Ma says. Ma is from here. “I know that’s why we are stopping here for the night.” I tell her. “Oh that’s wonderful.” Ma says. “I’m tried I am growing a human after all so I’m goinng to get some sleep. Good night love you.” Scarlett says going to the trailer’s bedroom. “Good night Baby.” I say. “Good night dear.” Ma tells her.

We get to New York and have decided to stay at Scarlett’s for most of the month but we will be staying at her Moms for Hanukkah. We are spending all of December here in New York and will be heading home after New Years. We have only been here for two days and the paparazzi have already gotten a lot of pictures of us. We are currently on our way to Melanie’s for dinner. “Hey Mama Sloan.” I say as she opens the door. “Hello you three. Laura it’s so good to see you again. I absolutely loved the single you two released. It is beautiful.” She says as she lets us in. “Thank you Melanie and it’s good to see you again.” Ma says. “Why don’t you come help me in the kitchen. You two can join the others in the living room.” Mama Sloan says. “Yes Ma’am.” I say jokingly.

Vanessa, Adrian, Hunter, Sacrlett, and I are all in the living room when there is a loud banging on the door. “Who the hell could that be I’ll get it.” Scarlett says. “No I will. I think I know who it is.” I say getting up and opening the door. “Hey Dad what do you want?” I ask angry. “Where is your mother?” He demands. “You aren’t going to see her and you aren’t welcome here so just leave.” I tell him trying to hide the fear in my voice. “You don’t tell me what to do.” He says punching me in the face making me reel back and fall down now everyones attention is on me. They stiil haven’t seen my father yet. I get up and punch him back. Now everyone knows he’s here and Adrian get’s my Ma to a safer place without me having to ask. Dad hits me again and then pins me to the wall. “YOU’RE STILL WEAK JUST LIKE WHEN YOU WERE A KID!” He spits and I head butt him making him go backwards a few steps. “That’s where you’re wrong. I’ve gotten stronger and I can take you.” I taught. He throws another punch but this time I catch it and twist his hand and arm behind his back and ram him into the wall. “HOWS THAT FEEL HUH?” I yell as I repeatedly ram his head into the wall until it goes threw the drywall. “Now you know a little bit of how I did.” I tell him and just before I am about to start to beat the shit out of him I hear Scarlett. “SAM STOP! HE’S NOT WORTH IT! DON’T STOOP TO HIS LEVEL!” She screams with fear in her voice and I drop my Dad. “She’s right you’re not worth it.” I tell him I turn around which turns out to be a bad move because next thing I know I’m in a choke hold. “Dad please not in front off Scarlett.” I plead thinking he’s going to finally do it and kill me. He throws me into a little table that’s in the hall way. Then all of a sudden his boot collides with my face and I can feel the blood dripping from my nose. “Where is your mother?” He demands again. “You will never hurt her again.” I say as I get up and tackle him and start beating the hell out of him till I hear Scarlett. “SAM! STOP THIS ISN’T YOU!” She yells at me. “He beat me and my Ma!” I yell back. “Sam please. You could go to jail and I can’t raise this child alone!” She says and I freeze mid swing. The cops come bursting in. “PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!” One of  them yells at me. “Officer, she was just protecting us from him when he attacked first.” Vanessa says as I get off my Dad like the second cop tells me to. Dad is arrested and taken out in cuffs. “Sam, let me see your hands, they need to be tended to.” Scarlett tells me and I follow her into the bathroom. “I’m sorry for scaring you.” I tell her as she washes my hands in the sink. “I thought you were going to kill him.” Scarlett says, trying not to cry. “I wasn’t going to go that far. That’s too good for him.” I say. “You weren’t acting or sounding like my Sam. I don’t know or want to know that version of you.” Scarlett says. “I’m sorry. I let my anger towards him take me over. I wasn’t thinking I’m sorry. Flashes of all the things he did just came into my head. I couldn’t stop until I heard the fear in your voice. It was the same fear Ma had towards Dad. I don’t ever want you to fear me.” I tell her letting my tears fall. “I wasn’t scared of you. I was scared for you. I didn't want you to get arrested.” She tells me as she finishes up bandaging my hands. “I’m sorry Baby.” I tell her as I wrap my arms around her and she holds onto my shirt and starts to cry. “Shh it’s ok I’m here you’re safe.” I tell her. “I can’t stop thinking about that night when we were sixteen and he threw you through a wall.” She cries. “Oh Scarlett. He’s in jail now and he can't hurt anyone.” I tell her as we hear a knock on the door before Vanessa pops her head in and before she can say anything I just shake my head as a sign that right now isn’t a good time and she nods and leaves. “Let’s go to bed your Mom did say we could spend the night and I’m exhausted from what just happened and I know you are too.” I telll her and she nods. We say good night to everyone and head to the guest room Melanie told us to use. And we quickly fall asleep Scarlett still wrapped in my arms.
