Sam’s POV
We got back from dad’s funeral last week but Ma stayed in New York. “I wrote a song for Dad.” I say to Scarlett as we lay in bed neither of us getting up yet. “That’s nice what’s it called?” She asks. “Better Place.” I tell her. “Can I hear it?” She asks me. “Yeah let’s go to the studio.” I tell her.

I finish the song with tears running down my face. “That was beautiful Babe.” Scarlett says pulling me in for a hug. “Do you Think so?" I ask. "I know so." She says giving me a kiss. "Come on, I am hungry, let's make Breakfast." She says. "Is Lizzie still dropping off the kids today?" I ask her as we walk to the kitchen. “Yeah that’s still the plan.” She says. “I miss them.” I state. “Trust me I do too.” She says. “I know you do mama bear.” I tell her. “Proud mama bear thank you very much.” She says with a smile. “You’re an amazing mother Scarlett.” I tell her. “So are you Sam.” She says as I wrap my arms around her waist from behind and she rests her head against my chest. “The house is so quiet.” She says. “Yeah it’s kinda weird huh?” I reply. “Ok now shoo so I can cook you are distracting me.” She says shooing me from the kitchen. I go to the living room and pull up instagram. “Scarlett, look at Sarah’s post!” I yell laughing.
