once luis said he'd keep his promise of helping us i saw leon's fist tighten and his jaw clench. i knew he knew something about luis that i didn't. we continued walking around the area before leon finally spoke up.
"little hard for me to put my faith into someone who used to work for umbrella" leon said in a bitter tone. wait luis worked for umbrella? i was shocked whenever leon said that. maybe he knew my brother. maybe he knows something about if he ever made it out of the city or not. i was snapped out of my thoughts when luis spoke up.
"so you heard huh?" he said with a slightly disappointed tone before continuing.
"umbrella's done for. you don't need to worry about them anymore" he finished. i looked down in defeat. maybe adam didn't make it out after all.
"you didn't answer my question. what're you after?" leon said repeating what he had said earlier emphasizing his question so luis got the idea that he was serious.
"i just wanna feel good about myself. make amends...or something like that" luis said still avoiding leon's question. we ran up a mineshaft that was blocked by debris.
"huh we need something to clear the debris. maybe some dynamite" leon said looking around to see anything. i saw a narrow walkway next to the blocked spot and pointed at it.
"let's go this way maybe we'll find some" i said walking into the walkway. we eventually made it to a large room with various structures and people inside.
"looks like we've got company. what do you wanna do?" luis whispered standing behind leon and i. i quickly pulled out my rifle and shot down some of the villagers roaming in the area. once i cleared all the people i could see leon vaulted over the edge. i looked over and saw him opening his arms to catch me. luis smirked at the two of us before shooting me a wink. i rolled my eyes and jumped down into leon's arms. he set me down before we went ahead.
"oye! prince charming you aren't going to catch me too?" luis said sad that leon didn't want to catch him. leon gritted his teeth before continuing to move forward. i chuckled at this before catching up with leon. there were a few more villagers roaming around that the three of us took care of before one of the weird chainsaw guys came running at us.
"cuidado! the ones with the chainsaws are no joke!" luis said in a worried tone firing a few shots at the man.
"believe me we know" i said also firing at the guy. leon pulled out his shotgun and began shooting at him. after a few minutes of shooting the guy he finally dropped dead while trying to land a few swings at us.
"that was not easy" leon said breathlessly. i nodded in agreement looking around to see more villagers swarming in. the noise must've drawn them in. we quickly took care of them before another person with a chainsaw came at us.
"god another one" i said in an annoyed tone shooting at the woman now chasing us with the chainsaw. we were able to kill her faster than the one earlier. we went into a building that had a lever that lowered the bridge on the other side of the room and we quickly went over to it. once we crossed the bridge a few more people rushed us but we killed them with ease and grabbed some dynamite to clear the debris where we were.
