leon and i continued down the path that we parked the boat next to. a giddy feeling in my stomach was taking over my thoughts. has he always been this romantic? he just confessed that he had feelings for me in raccoon. my mind is spinning. i saw leon stop a pull out his binoculars looking around at the new area in front of us.

"considering we haven't come across any one who looks like they're from the 21st century i'm shocked that this place exists" i said gawking at the tech they now had on display.

"if they have motion detector guns why are their guards still using arrows" leon responded with a small chuckle. he passed me the binoculars and i saw the guard standing at a large metal gate with a crossbow in hand. before i could respond i saw that krauser guy with ashley slumped in his arm walking toward the gate.

"ashley!" i said immediately passing leon his binoculars back so he could see. he let out a harsh breath from his nose before putting his binoculars away.

"there's spotlights over there so let's try to avoid those" leon said as he began walking. i on the other hand had an idea pop into my head.

"leon! wait!" i said causing him to stop and turn to face me "i can take care of the spot lights from here" i pulled out my rifle and aimed at the light that would cause issues and shot it causing it to go dark.

"nice thinking ass. let's keep an eye out for other ones an do that" leon said waiting for me to catch up to him. once i did we continued forward. i felt his hand gently brush mine before he gently looped our pinkies together. god he's so... i can't even think of a word to describe him. he's an enigma. we were walking through a cave system when we came across one of the automatic motion detector guns. i saw a path to the right of us and gently pulled leon in that direction. once we got to the end of the path i saw it diverged into two ways. i saw a narrow path on the left that i assumed led to the turret. the other path led to a dead end.

"wait here" i said to leon dropping his hand from mine.

"no what if something happens" leon protested which was code for don't leave me alone.

"then you'll hear me shouting"

"fine but if you're not back in 5 minutes i'm coming to get you"

"fine" i said before jogging down the narrow path. it wasn't very long and it did in fact lead to the back of the turret. i saw a button that rotated the sensor so that it hit the wall thus opening the way for leon and i. i smiled triumphantly before jogging back to leon.

"see i wasn't gone too long. plus i took care of our turret problem" i said with a smile. leon looked relieved to see me as we began walking back toward where we came from. we slowly approached a building that had a few guards wandering around it. leon and i silently took them out with our knives before i shot the other that was outside the building. we continued walking but a guard must've seen us because before we knew it an alarm blared out from around us.
