we walked down a small path coming across the merchant.
"welcome strangers" he said his eyes lighting up slightly upon seeing us. "i've got some new wears for y'a" he said holding up two armor vests. my eyes widened and a grin spread onto my face. i basically threw the pesetas at the man throwing on the body armor.
"too bad you don't have a helmet for her" leon said grabbing the vest from the merchant with a smirk. i smacked his arm before turning around.
"help me tighten this thing its too big" i said.
"yeah it is" leon responded in a teasing tone.
"ew leon how old are you 13?" i cringed at the sex joke. he laughed before grabbing the straps on my vest pulling them so they were tighter. his hand brushed my waist slightly causing chills to go down my back.
"here" he said pulling the last bit and letting go of my vest. he slipped his on and didn't have to tighten it much. not surprising he's pretty built. i let my eyes linger a little too long and flicked them away at the last minute so he wouldn't see.
"alright let's get a move on" i said clapping my hands together walking alongside ashley. she nodded and we began walking toward a wooden gate. i grabbed some paper that was pinned to the wall next to the gate and put them with the rest of the files i had collected. leon pushed the gate open slowly.
"we've got company" he whispered to us crouching and holding his arm out to stop us. "keep moving but quietly. got it?" he whispered to ashley.
"ok i'll...i'll try" she said softly crouched next to me. we rounded a corner and leon quickly stabbed a lady who was hiding in the corner so she wouldn't alert the others. i went around the barricade wall to find a man with a torch facing away from us. i stabbed the man letting him softly drop to the ground.
"ass" leon said softly pointing to the area higher up. there were several watch guards with torches standing there. i looked over and nodded my head at him before taking out a rifle i found while we were separated. i hit headshot after headshot taking the guards out one by one.
"holy..." ashley whispered in amazement at my accuracy. i smiled knowing ashley looked up to me. suddenly a loud bell drew me from my thoughts and people came out rushing toward us.
"guess we're doing this" i groaned pulling my pistol out from its holster and putting the rifle on my back. leon pulled out his shotgun and we began fighting the remainder of the villagers in the area. leon kicked one of the women in the chest causing her to fly into the small crowd of people behind her.
"sorry must've slipped" leon said shooting a shotgun round into the crowd. a pigman towered over the rest of the villagers. i grabbed a grenade off my belt.
"ashley get behind me" i said sternly before pulling the pin and throwing it at the pigman. "hey bastard catch" i said before it blew up in the things face. the pigman exploded with the grenade along with a few villagers near him.
