Mia - Wednesday, 6 AM
"Tell me what you want, Mia,"
his hoarse voice escapes from his lips pressed against mine. He smells like mint and sea salt. My hands are lost in his golden hair while his play with my body. His fingers delve between my thighs, and I close my eyes.
"I need to hear it, Mia. Words. Talk to me," His mouth is now in the hollow of my throat, leaving a trail of scorching kisses in its wake. I grip his hair as he moves lower, and I whisper in a husky voice, "You. I want you." I finally open my eyes to Austin's mocking smile.
The alarm clock rings.
I startle upright in my bed.
Alone.
My dream hasn't left me indifferent, and with a trembling hand, I reach for my phone. I send a message with the time and meeting place to the group dedicated to the search for Cara this morning. My phone vibrates in my hands, displaying a message from Austin indicating his arrival in thirty minutes. I blush and rush toward the shower. I'm going to need cold water. Ice-cold. Feeling the water run over my body, I think back to the kiss I shared with Austin yesterday, and I silly grin. We talked about it afterward, and he agreed to keep that moment a secret from the others for now. I want to take it slow. We're friends. Friends who kiss.
I kissed Austin Coopler! And now I imagine him in my bed...
I put on a navy blue sweatshirt and a pair of white shorts. I tie my converse shoes when I hear Austin's motorcycle parking in front of the house. He gives me a big smile as he sees me approaching. I've braided my hair, and he takes hold of one of the braids with his fingers.
"Hey you." I timidly smile as I put on the helmet and settle in behind him. "Did you sleep well, sweetheart?" I silently thank the helmet for hiding my crimson face and simply reply with a soft "mmmh." I only wait for him to start the engine to press myself against him, breathing in his scent.
A small group is already waiting for us on Jace Street when we finally arrive. Heather and Anna are talking to Ethan and Max, and I don't pay much attention to Allison's "O.M.G" as she takes my arm.
"Hello, everyone. Thank you for being here," My voice is loud enough for everyone to gather around me. "The girls will distribute the posters to put up all over town. We'll form three search groups this morning, and if you can, we'll keep the same groups after school. We're searching in the garden, the parking lot, and in the surrounding forest.Even the smallest piece of paper or fabric could be useful in finding Cara, so don't hesitate to contact Austin and me, and above all, don't touch anything with your hands." I pass a box of latex gloves through the crowd.
