A Tip For Discerning God Speaks To You

Whenever you hear an instruction or prompt, write it down. That could be a voice reminding you to check on someone, pray about something, to read the word, to incorporate a new discipline, etc. It can also be a voice pointing out something you need to work on (flaws) or challenge on how to do better. Write down anything biblical. Write down what you felt, heard, saw, etc. Then you can also write down the results. This will help you keep track of how God speaks to you.

For example, if you felt this thing in your heart to pray for someone, write down how it felt. If you find out that person needed prayer somehow, then you can write how that confirms. It can help you keep track.

If you get challenged to work on a flaw, write down what the results are. Was this something that you genuinely needed to work on, and when you obeyed, what happened?

Bonus tip:
Keep a book with you whenever you pray, write down what came to your mind while you were praying or what you felt, saw, etc
