Chapter 1

The elevator doors open and JJ and Emily walk out. Garcia races by with a file in her hands.
"Oh good you guys are here" she says opening the doors for them.
"We got a case?" JJ asks looking back at her.
"Yep, and its a doozy" Garcia answers.
They all take a seat and Garcia begins,
"25 year old Jessica Carter was found in the desert of Texas last night with most of her blood sucked from her body"
JJ gives a disgusted look.
"Do they know what drained the blood?" Emily asks.
"No, and this morning 24 year old Rebecca Stasne was taken from a coffee shop 25 miles away from Jessica's dumpsite" Garcia says.
"So we know the unsub has a thing for 20-30 year olds so we can guess that he's 20-30 years old also" JJ says.
"How long was Jessica missing? Reid asks.
"5 days" Garcia answers.
"Wonder what the unsubs doing with blood" JJ says staring down at the case file.
"Alright wheels up in 30 its only a matter of time until Rebecca's body shows up" Hotch says gathering up the case info. The rest of the team does the same. JJ starts to walk out of the room when she feels a hand on her shoulder. She looks back to see Reid.
"What?" she asks.
"Are you sure you want to work this case I mean with..." he starts but gets cut off.
"Reid I'm fine!" she snaps.
"Really? I talked to Hotch and he said you can stay back with Garcia and..." JJ cuts him off again.
"You told Hotch! Reid why!" she says almost yelling. Someone knocks on the door, they both turn around and see Hotch.
"Don't mean to interrupt but we need to get going" Hotch says then turns and walks away.
"We'll talk about this later" JJ says then walks out the door.
