Chapter 28

[JJ's POV]

Hotch and I sit the whole team down.
"As you all know Morgan was in very bad condition by the time he got to the hospital, but they were able to keep him alive."
The team stares at us in disbelief.
"He's alive!" Emily says. Hotch doesn't say anything, knowing she's mad.
"JJ?" Reid says. Tears fill my eyes.
"I'm sorry..." I say. Spencer angrily walks out with Emily following close by.
"I'm just glad he's alive." she says.
I chase Spencer out into the hallway.
"Spence! Listen to me!"
"Oh like you listened to me! JJ I cried for weeks and not once did you have the decency to tell me he was alive! JJ I love you but I can't be married to someone who keeps secrets from me."
My face heats up.
"No"
"I don't know what else you could be hiding from me!"
"I'm not hiding anything from you."
"Right." he says and walks away from me.

[Hotch's POV]

"Emily don't be mad."
"I'm not."
"You're not?"
"No I understand, you had to keep his 'death' a secret. I trust you and your decisions." she says. I wrap my arms around her and pull her close to me.
"When can I see him?" she asks.
"He's still in the hospital."
"Still?"
"Yeah, I can take you after work."
"What happened to Rossi?" she asks.
"He was too close to the bomb." I say sadly.
