Chapter 26

[Emily's POV]

I pay Kate for watching Kaitlyn then sneak upstairs, carefull not to wake her up. I tip-toe quietly into her room to give her a goodnight kiss, but she's not sleeping. She's playong with her ponies.
"Kaitlyn! You were supposed to be in bed a LONG time ago."
"I was waiting for you." she says. I sit down next to her and pull her onto my lap. Hotch walks in and stops when he sees her up.
"Kaitlyn why are you not sleeping?"
"I'm sorry."
"I missed you." I say kissing her on the forehead.
"I missed you guys to. Are you guys going to be gone all the time? Will I ever get to see you guys?" she says. That gets me thinking. I can't miss out on my kids life.
"Alright bed time." Aaron says.
"I love you daddy. I love you mommy!"
I lay Kaitlyn down kissing her again. I turn the lights off and walk to my room.
"I can't stop thinking about them." I say sitting on the bed. Aaron sits next to me and I lean my head on his shoulder.
"We should get some sleep. We had a long day today."
I nod and slip under the covers. He turns off his lamp and I fall asleep.
