Jouney to the Fountain

The crew were now making their journey on foot as the zombies were carrying the glass coffin that held inside the mermaid. Jack and the Twins had been blindfolded as once they arrived at a point, they were let out or their blindfolds.

Blackbeard: it's to you now, Sparrow.

Jack; was that really necessary?

Blackbeard: best you and your niece and nephew not know the exact whereabouts of my ship. I be a cautious man.

Jack; so be I. What I want first... <opens his compass> is Ponce De Leon's ship.

They started walking through the dense jungle as the Twins stayed close to Jack as much as possible. Scrum was even out in mermaid carrying duty.

Jack: why is it we've got to bring her along?

Angelica: because tears don't keep. We need them fresh.

Jack: what is the ritual again? Water from the Fountain and a mermaid's tear?

Angelica; and two silver chalices. One cup with a tear, one without.

Jack; so, one with a tear and water in both? Quite complicated, is it not?

Angelica; both get water. One gets a tear. The person who drinks the water with the tear gets all the years of life from the other.

Jack: how many years? <sees a snake in the water> whoa.

Angelica: <grabs it and wraps it around her shoulders> all the years that they have lived, and they could have lived, if fate had been kinder.

Kate grabbed the snakes head and tossed the snake away as Angelica looked at her.

Kate: you don't threaten our Uncle. We're tired of that.

Kate and Kade walked forward as Jack walked after them as Angelica just looked at them in a bit of surprise.

They all stopped to rest as Philip used some natural water to wash his face and get some on his neck to stay fresh as did Kade and Kate but Kate made sure to keep her jacket on over her white shirt.

Jack; clergyman. On the off chances that this does not go well for me, I would like it noted here and now that I am fully prepared to believe in whatever I must, so that I may be welcomed into that place where all the goody-goodies get to go. Savvy?

Philip; we have a word for that, Jack. You can convert.

Jack: I was thinking more of an as-needed basis.

Kate; don't worry, Uncle Jack, it's either convert or you go back to Davy Jone's Locker.

Kade: if it even is the place you'll go.

Philip: do you two not believe?

Kate: <takes out a cross necklace> never leave home without it.

Kade: <shows his> Dad told us to believe in something even if our souls be damned.

Philip looked back at the Mermaid and saw her... suffocating.

Philip: <stands up> Quartermaster!

Quartermaster; aye?

Philip: she cannot breathe!

Quartermaster: she had water.

Philip; <goes to the coffin> she needs air! Open this.

Quartermaster; she will escape.

Philip: you're killing her.

Jack; I support the missionary's position.

Kade went over as he took his sword out and opened the coffin slightly to let air as the Mermaid gasped finally being able to breathe.
