He then walked away in frustration. I think I might have been a little too mean, but I've always wanted a dad. And he was just making me mad by saying he didn't trust him. What's not to trust? He has all the proof he needs. When I was finished getting dressed my dad came back in and asked,

"Is your boyfriend okay? He just shoved passed me in the hall."

I then asked,

"Are you serious? I'm so sorry; I don't know what his problem is. He's never like this I swear. He nodded and asked,

"Do you want me to drive you home? Just so you guys don't fight."
I then said,

"No, that's okay. I think we should probably just talk. If you give me your number I could call you, and me and Cadence can meet you at a park or something so you can meet her."
He nodded and gave me a business card with his phone number on it. He then said,

"I almost always have my phone on me, so call day or night."

I nodded and he walked away. When I walked out of the room Devin was already in the hallway with Cadence, he didn't say a word to me, he just grabbed the car seat Cadence was laying in and walked away. I followed, when we reached the car I asked,

"Do you need help with buckling in the car seat?"
Devin then said in frustration,

"No, I have it. I got it; I'm not incapable of buckling a car seat in."

I then said,

"You are being ridicules!"

He then shouted,

"ME? I'M BEING RIDICULES? OKAY. THANK WHAT YOU WANT!"
I then climbed in the car, I was tearing up now. I was done; Devin has never acted like this toward me before. When Devin got in the car he saw me crying and said,

"Don't cry."

I then said,

"Fuck off."

He didn't say a thing after. The whole car ride was silent. When we arrived home I got out and grabbed Cadence. I was crying even more now, Devin noticed when we got inside, he began to say,

"Nichole..."

I cut him off my saying,

"DON'T!"

He then walked up stairs, I heard him throw something, and I ignored it and just went to the nursery to put Cadence in her crib. On my way out I went into the other nursery, I sat down on the rocking chair. I was pouring my eyes out now. It hurts terribly to have a part of you die. I never even got to see what he or she looked like, maybe it was for the best though. Devin came walking in, he wrapped his arms around me, I tried to fight but I couldn't resist his love so I started hugging back. Devin was crying also, he then said,

"Nichole, I know it hurts. I know what you're feeling, and I'm right here with you. I'm sorry we've been fighting; I guess it's getting to both of us. I'm also sorry about what I said about your father. But baby I have to be honest, something doesn't seem right. But, I understand if you still want to see him, I just ask that I'm there with you every time."

I nodded and gripped him ever so tightly, he then said,

"I made you something; it was for your birthday. Come in the bed room with me and I'll show you. I got up and walked in the bed with him, he went in his top dresser drawer and pulled out a piece of paper and said,

"I wrote you a poem. It's called "Something more" Here it goes.

There's more to you that meets the eye

There's more to you if you'd only try

When you're feeling weak with a scattered mind

When you're feeling lost with nothing to find

If your days are bad and you feel like shit

If your days are bad, you best not quit

Life gets hard and may seem wrong

Life gets hard, but I know you're strong

The skies get gray but it won't ever last

The skies get gray but life goes fast

So live in the moment for you've only got today

So live in the moment and in your own way

Believe in what you want, if it be a god above

Believe in what you want, if it be a heart full of love

My love for you is more than a word

My love for you has feels unheard

I'll be with you when you need to hide

I'll be with you in your heart inside

So don't ever think you can't change the tone

So don't ever think you're going it alone

For there is more to you that meets the eye

For there's more to you if you'd only try"

I then said,

"Devin, that was so beautiful! I love you so much, words can't even explain."
