Leni and Risa were inseparable since childhood. They grew up in a small town where everyone knew each other, and they both were sure they would never leave each other's side. Leni was an introverted girl, while Risa was always outgoing and could easily talk to anyone. They were the complete opposite, but their friendship flourished despite their differences.

As they entered high school, they both discovered their love for music, specifically singing. They would spend most of their free time singing karaoke together and dreaming of becoming famous one day. Soon enough, they both joined the school choir and also started performing in local events.

But, life was not always kind and fair. Leni started developing feelings towards Risa, which she was not ready to accept. She felt incredibly guilty for having such feelings, as homosexuality was not accepted in their society. Leni was afraid of losing her best friend, but the more she tried to ignore her feelings, the stronger they grew.

On the other hand, Risa had no idea what Leni was going through. She was happy with the way things were, and their friendship was still as strong as ever. Leni eventually decided that it was best to keep her feelings to herself and continue living as friends.

Years went by, and they both graduated from high school. Risa went to a prestigious university to study music, while Leni stayed in their hometown to help her parents run their small business. They still kept in touch, but it wasn't the same without having each other's company.

One day, Leni received tragic news that Risa had gotten into a fatal car accident and didn't make it. Her world came crashing down, and she felt as if she had lost a part of herself. She realized that she had missed the chance to confess her feelings to Risa, and now it was too late.

Leni couldn't bring herself to attend Risa's funeral; she wanted to remember her as the lively and joyful friend she had always been, not in a wooden casket. After some time, Leni couldn't bear the pain and decided to take up singing full time in memory of Risa. Whenever she sang, she felt as if Risa was with her, hearing her every note.

Leni realized that she should have told Risa about her feelings, and not because she wanted them to be reciprocated, but to let her know that she was loved and important. Leni's love for Risa would always remain an echo of yesterday, and she learned to live with it while cherishing the memories of their friendship.
