"Nasaan ka na naman ba, Risa?" Leni muttered to herself as she paced back and forth in their living room. It was past midnight, and her wife was nowhere to be found. Risa had promised to be home hours ago after her night out with friends, but Leni's worry was growing by the minute.

She had tried calling Risa multiple times, each call going straight to voicemail. Leni knew Risa could get caught up in her work as a senator, but tonight was supposed to be about relaxation and reconnection. They hadn't had a quiet evening together in what felt like ages.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Leni heard stumbling footsteps outside their door. She rushed to open it, only to find Risa leaning heavily against the doorway, looking slightly disheveled but with a mischievous grin plastered on her face.

"Hey, love!" Risa slurred, wrapping her arms around Leni in a wobbly embrace. "Missed me?"

Leni sighed with a mix of relief and exasperation. "Risa, where have you been? I've been worried sick!"

Risa giggled, her breath smelling strongly of alcohol. "Oh, you worry too much, Len. I was just... umm... exploring the wonders of nightlife!"

Leni raised an eyebrow. "Exploring, huh? Looks more like you've been exploring every bar in the neighborhood."

Risa shrugged nonchalantly. "Eh, details, details. The important thing is I'm home now, safe and sound!"

Leni couldn't help but chuckle despite her concern. "You're unbelievable, Risa. Come on, let's get you to bed."

With Leni's help, Risa stumbled into their bedroom, collapsing onto the bed with a dramatic flourish. "Ah, the comfort of our marital mattress!" she declared dramatically, sprawling out like a starfish.

Leni shook her head fondly, sitting down beside her wife. "You're lucky I love you, you know that?"

Risa grinned up at her, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Of course I know! Who wouldn't love this charming, charismatic, slightly tipsy senator?"

Leni rolled her eyes playfully. "Only I would put up with you like this, Risa. Now, let's get you out of these clothes and into something more comfortable."

Risa pouted exaggeratedly. "Aw, but I thought you liked seeing me in this state of disheveled elegance!"

Leni couldn't help but laugh at Risa's antics. "Come on, up you go," she said, helping Risa out of her clothes and into a pair of pajamas.

As Leni tucked Risa into bed, she couldn't resist teasing her a bit more. "You owe me big time for this, you know. I had to cancel my own plans just to wait for you."

Risa sobered up slightly, reaching out to hold Leni's hand. "I'm sorry, love. I didn't mean to worry you. Next time, I promise I'll call or text, okay?"

Leni squeezed her hand gently. "I know you will, Risa. Just... try not to make it a habit, okay? I hate seeing you like this."

Risa nodded earnestly. "I promise, Len. You're my world, and I never want to make you worry."

Leni leaned down to kiss Risa's forehead. "Good. Now get some sleep, you big goof."

Risa smiled up at her wife, her eyes filled with love and gratitude. "I love you, Leni."

"I love you too, Risa," Leni replied softly, brushing a strand of hair away from Risa's face. "Now sleep tight, okay?"

With that, Leni turned off the bedside lamp and settled down beside Risa, feeling her wife's warmth beside her. As Risa drifted off into a peaceful slumber, Leni couldn't help but smile to herself. No matter how unpredictable Risa could be, she wouldn't trade their love and adventures together for anything in the world.

Hours passed, and the morning light began to filter through the curtains. Leni woke up to find Risa snoring softly beside her, her expression peaceful and relaxed. She gently brushed a strand of hair away from Risa's face and placed a tender kiss on her cheek.

Just then, Risa stirred awake, blinking sleepily as she looked up at Leni. "Good morning, my love," Leni greeted her with a soft smile.

Risa yawned, stretching her arms above her head. "Morning, Len. Sorry about last night."

Leni chuckled softly. "It's okay, Risa. Just... next time, try not to make me worry so much, okay?"

Risa nodded, a sheepish grin on her face. "I promise, love. You're too good to me."

Leni leaned over to kiss Risa gently. "I know," she teased, earning a playful swat on the arm from her wife.

They spent the morning together, sharing breakfast and catching up on the events of the week. Risa recounted some of the highlights from her night out, eliciting laughter and eye-rolls from Leni at the wild stories.

Later that day, as they sat together on the couch, Risa wrapped an arm around Leni's shoulders. "You know, Len," she began, her voice tinged with sincerity, "I'm really lucky to have you."

Leni smiled warmly, leaning into Risa's side. "And I'm lucky to have you, even when you're a tipsy mess."

Risa chuckled softly. "Well, I promise to be a less tipsy mess next time."

Leni raised an eyebrow playfully. "We'll see about that, Senator."

Risa grinned, pressing a kiss to Leni's temple. "Love you, Len."

"I love you too, Risa," Leni replied, intertwining her fingers with Risa's. "Always."

And so, in the warmth of their home and the embrace of their love, Leni and Risa knew that no matter what adventures or misadventures came their way, they would face them together.
