Leonor stretched lazily on the bed, relishing the comfortable warmth of the sheets against her skin. She had nowhere to be and no deadlines to meet, which allowed her to enjoy slow mornings like this. She turned to her girlfriend, Theresia, who lay next to her, still asleep.

"Good morning, love," Leonor whispered, planting a soft kiss on Theresia's forehead.

"Mm, good morning," Theresia murmured, stirring slightly.

Leonor smiled and traced her fingers down Theresia's arm, enjoying the sensation of her smooth skin. She had always been drawn to Theresia's softness - not just in her physical appearance, but also in her personality. Theresia was kind, gentle, and empathetic, which made her the perfect partner for Leonor, who tended to be more brash and straightforward.

As they lay in bed together, Leonor and Theresia talked about everything and nothing, enjoying the easy flow of their conversations. Theresia was a great listener, always patient and understanding, which made Leonor feel appreciated and loved.

After a while, Theresia sat up and stretched, her hair cascading down her back. Leonor couldn't help but admire her beauty, the way her eyes sparkled in the morning light and her full lips curved into a smile.

"Would you like some coffee?" Theresia asked, padding over to the kitchen.

"Mm, sounds good," Leonor replied, lazily propping herself up on her elbow.

As the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the room, Leonor felt a sense of contentment wash over her. She couldn't imagine a more perfect morning than this - lying in bed with the woman she loved, talking and laughing, and enjoying each other's company.

But it wasn't always like this. There had been a time when Leonor and Theresia's relationship had been fraught with tension and uncertainty. They had met in college, Theresia studying literature while Leonor studying economics, and had quickly become friends. Leonor had been attracted to Theresia from the beginning, but had been too afraid to act on her feelings.

It wasn't until years later that they had reconnected - both of them older, wiser, and more confident in their own skin. They had gone out for drinks, and as they sat across from each other, Leonor had felt the same pull towards Theresia that she had felt all those years ago.

They had kissed that night, and from then on, everything had fallen into place. They had both been hesitant about entering into a relationship, but had gradually grown more comfortable with each other, building a foundation of trust and love that sustained them through the good times and the bad.

As they sipped their coffee, Leonor asked Theresia about her plans for the day. Theresia hesitated for a moment before answering - something that Leonor picked up on immediately.

"What's wrong?" she asked, sensing Theresia's unease.

Theresia sighed. "I have a meeting this afternoon with my boss. He's been hinting for weeks that he wants to discuss my performance, and I have a feeling it's not going to be good news."

Leonor felt a pang of sympathy for her girlfriend. She knew how hard Theresia worked at her job, and how much it meant to her.

"I'm sure it'll be fine," Leonor reassured her. "Just be yourself, and know that I'm here for you, no matter what happens."

Theresia gave her a grateful smile, and they embraced, holding each other tight.

As the day wore on, Leonor found herself growing increasingly anxious about Theresia's meeting. She had a nagging feeling that something was off, that there was more at stake than just Theresia's job.

When Theresia finally came home that evening, Leonor could tell from her expression that something had gone wrong. She didn't ask for details right away, waiting until Theresia had calmed down and was ready to talk.

"He fired me," Theresia said, her voice shaking with emotion.

Leonor's heart sank. She had known that it was a possibility, but had hoped that it wouldn't come to this.

"I'm so sorry, love," she said, pulling Theresia into her arms.

Theresia sobbed, and Leonor held her, feeling powerless to make things right. She knew how hard it would be for Theresia to find another job in her field, given the competitive nature of the industry.

As the days turned into weeks, Leonor and Theresia struggled to find a new normal. Theresia applied for job after job, without any success. Leonor did what she could to support her, but she couldn't deny the strain that it put on their relationship.

One morning, as they lay in bed together, Leonor broke the silence that had settled between them.

"Do you remember when we first met?" she asked, her voice soft.

Theresia nodded, a flicker of a smile on her lips.

"I have a confession to make," Leonor said, gazing into Theresia's eyes. "I was in love with you from the moment I met you."

Theresia's eyes widened, and she leaned in to kiss Leonor. It was a gentle, almost reverent kiss, as if the weight of the moment hung heavy between them.

"I love you," Theresia whispered, her voice thick with emotion.

As they lay tangled up in each other, Leonor knew that they would make it through this together. They had each other, and even if everything else fell apart.
