The world knew of the Schumacher family; legends, lovers and leaders. The one person that never really wanted to be in racing or the horse world was (Y/N), who chose to go through the world under her mother's maiden name Betsch. School, work, life... She was the black sheep in the family as she refused to go to any karting tracks outside of supporting Mick, she was stubborn in never attending a paddock that wasn't at home unless it was for a competition that Gina was in.

She attended university close to the Vettel family as Seb loved her like he did Mick and the rest of the family, treating his kids like siblings more so than her flesh and blood. She opted to attend the University of Technology, Business and Design Konstanz, a thirty minute drive from the Vettel home, to study ecological preservation and natural energy solutions - much to the families' glee. The Schumachers had no issue with this, well all of them except for Mick.

Mick was more than happy for his twin sister to attend the university for the studies and was thankful that she was staying with Seb and their second family, but he felt like he was being cast aside and she was pulling away. Having spoken before the start of the season, she promised that she would travel with him and they would reconnect as adults, but she broke that promise repeatedly.

"Mick, I'm really sorry but I can't make it to Monaco this month..." (Y/N) said down the phone, watching her screen as Mick's face dropped.

"What? Why?" He whispered, his eyes welling up as he felt his heart shatter. "I thought your studies were done with?" He said in disbelief, taking the walk to the Mercedes F1 factory slowly, kicking a rock along the pathway.

"I was going to be going but I can't make it, my manager has just given me a huge chance to attend a conference on renewable energy and they're giving me the chance to be a lead speaker. You know how much this means to me, right?" She begged, locking her fingers together as she pleaded with him for his understanding. "I've even been given the opportunity to show off a prototype for an offshore hydroelectric generator, this could be the biggest thing to happen in my entire life."

Mick took some offense to that, as they both remembered their parents' careers, retirements, the accident and the hardships that followed and it really pissed him off. "Are you saying that Papa's accident wasn't the biggest life changer to you? That me getting into F1 and you coming with me to some races and being in the pitbox wasn't a big thing to you? That Gina's first million wasn't a big deal?!" He said, becoming gradually more frustrated, almost irritated, with her attitude.

"Mick, I'm not saying that and you know it!" She argued, her expression falling stern as he twisted her words. "I have always supported your career, and Gina's, without any argument!"

"Well that's a lie. You have always fought back about going to the karting tracks and the shows, you never wanted to do that as a kid. You hated doing anything with this family!" Mick argued back, walking into the facility and taking the long walk up the stairs.

"Yeah, when I was a kid! As an adult, I went with you wherever I could! I was at Monaco, Silverstone, Austria and Abu Dhabi last year for you!" She yelled, knowing it caught the attention of Seb who was sat just the other side of the door. He hated when the kids fought because he knew it was hard on them both. "Where were you for my graduation? Where were you when I gave my speech on the stage, thanking my families for their devoted love and support? You were not even in the country. You were in Australia before I could even ask for you to attend, and when I did because it was the summer break and you said that you couldn't come because Lance, Jack and Esteban decided the four of you should go on a group holiday and you didn't want to back out." She felt disgruntled, and remembered that this was the reason she had pulled back from him in the first place.
