Gifts from family and friends littered her room.

When she was in a coma, they all brought her gifts. Everyday, every week, every month.

Now that she had finally awoken after such a long time, of course they would bring her gifts too. To celebrate her survival.

It felt so nice to know that she was not alone in this world. She had many people who adored her.

Their appreciation and love almost drowned her. Even though she had not yet met everyone, all of their letters and gifts showed her how much they had missed her.

She missed them as well, even if her memories of them were hazy and yet to reveal.

She felt it in her heart. They were precious to her. Before she had the accident and even after losing her memories.

Since she didn't return to her home immediately after being discharged from the hospital, she failed to meet them. They had been waiting for her with gifts but soon returned to their own homes after knowing she visited Natsu.

They didn't blame her, not at all.

All of them knew how close Natsu and Lucy were. They were all aware that Natsu was the one who suffered the most during the past year. Although he didn't say much, nor did he cry much around them. Still, they knew how badly his heart had been bleeding this entire time.

He almost had to repeat the year if it hadn't been for their friends forcing him to go to school.

After all that happened, he deserved her attention the most.

„Here's your new phone." Layla sat next to her daughter, handing her a little box.

In awe, the girl looked at her.

Her mother's appearance had not significantly altered. At least she did not look much different in her dream.

The only noticeable change were her clothes. They looked expensive, they were probably of best quality. In her dream, her mother never really cared about her clothes.

Or perhaps she did but she never found out.

„What happened to my old phone?" As she opened the package, the girl asked.

Layla stilled for a moment, seemingly lost in her thoughts.

„It got destroyed during the accident." She managed to explain as memories of the horrifying police call swirled through her head.

Your daughter has been involved in a major car accident, they said.

Her injuries are severe. They are currently trying to save her life in the operation room. Please come as soon as possible.
