once daemon and killian received word that the king was sending aid, they were sent into an anger that laenor velaryon had never seen before.

the poor message boy was beat half to death by daemon, and killian's shouts of anger could be heard on the other side of the stepstones, laenor was sure.

usually killian was the voice of reason, when daemon overworked the men and had them near death, killian would talk him down and give the men rest. laenor liked the both of them, they were good men.

so when he saw them sneaking away from camp in the early morning, he did not think anything of it. they probably had plans to make this morning for the king's ships arrival.

little did he know, the two of them were on what was virtually a suicide mission. daemon rowed the small boat across the water into enemy territory. laenor would be rallied by his father to join them, but not for an hour or so.

the two of them stalked deep across the battlefield and killian took in the scene before them. dead king's men everywhere as far as the eye could see, smoke filled the air and the stench of rotting flesh was awful.

daemon and the baratheon both ripped pieces of a white sail and began to wave it high to signal a surrender. the crab feeder noticed them, and nodded on some of his cronies to take them hostage.

the crabfeeder's men stalked forward, as killian and daemon took out their swords, offering them up. they got down on their knees, but it was plain to see that the enemy was not easily convinced. archers notched their arrows as the men still were down in surrender.

the crab feeder's men got ever so closer, taking the swords from their hands. daemon struck first, killian second, the two of them taking down all the men around them.

the arrows were loosened and the two men expertly dodged all of them, cutting down men as they made their push towards the cave where the leader stayed hidden.

arrows upon arrows were shot towards the two, as men ran at them from all sides. two arrows caught daemon, one in the leg and one in the chest.

his dark haired accomplice heard his shout of agony and within a second, killian drug him under the skeleton of a ship as he quickly ripped the arrows out of what had become his best friend.

more arrows were loosened, but killian threw himself over daemon, covering them both before they hopped up and ran at the legions of men coming towards them on all sides.

they surrounded the ship, and killian looked over. "what do you want to do prince daemon?" he asked, only a smidge nervous about the situation they had gotten themselves into.
