saphrona looked to daemon as they readied for the journey to king's landing. "do have fun up there, as i will attempt not to suffocate down here." she rolled her eyes as daemon pulled her close.

"i will try although it will be hard without you up there with me." he grinned as she smacked his chest. it had been a month since they had kissed, but saphrona did not want to rush into another marriage. killian had not even been gone a year.

her family knew of their advances towards each other and knew of the two's long love for each other, but the rest of the realm would not be as forgiving.

the wedding was in a week, and it took three days to get to king's landing from the valley. it was the rainy season, so there was no riding shadowfax for saphrona.

the four of them: kassian, saphrona, jane, and aenor loaded into a carriage and were on the way to the royal wedding.

saphrona was bursting with excitement for rhaenyra. sir laenor was such a sweet boy, he was so kind to her at killian's celebration of life.

the journey was long and slow, but they made it just in time. people were pouring in from everywhere for this wedding, saph had seen people she hadn't seen in years. most importantly, killian's two beautiful sisters who were both so grown up now.

saphrona's wavy black hair was up in a bun and her royal blue dress was off the shoulder and elegant as ever. lady jane had on a long sleeved blue number as well. little kassian was sent up with his nanny, in case the evening turned bloody. weddings were usually not a place for children.

ser herrold looked back to see her at the door and gave a slight smile as she waved big at the bald knight in front of her. "lady saphrona, lady jane, and sir aenor! house arryn of the eyrie!" he announced as they walked into the great hall of everyone.

they walked into the room, and to the head of the table, bowing to the princess and king. jane and aenor headed to their seats, but saphrona rushed to the front of the table. "princess, you look so lovely tonight. i wish i could have been here to help you get ready." she gushed.

viserys grinned at the woman he still considered a little sister. "you know saph, it wasn't so long ago you sat in this spot next to me and rhaenyra!" he exclaimed.

saphrona suddenly felt old. "yes! and now i see my own niece getting married. ugh! i cant hardly stand it!" she cried.

rhaenyra grinned. "you know, i bet daemon won't even show up. father, could saphrona sit with us? she is family." the princess grinned, she missed her aunt so much.

viserys nodded, "you are right. come take this spot right here, if daemon shows he has a spot right next to you. good luck with that." he grinned.

saphrona nodded, taking her seat at the royal table. if it were anyone else, this would not fly, but saphrona had grown to be loved by the realm. she was a gem of the vale for sure.
