the arryn girl had honestly not had too hard of a time adjusting to the capitol city. she was permitted to do as she pleased.

at this time, she found herself munching on desserts in the kitchens. she had made friends with all the cooks, so no one bothered her.

she found herself in the middle of a pie when a certain brown haired man came upon her. "i thought i might find you here." he smirked at the sixteen year old girl. he was only two years older, at eighteen.

saphrona jumped, whirling around only to find killian baratheon laughing at the younger girl. "what are you doing here killian? aren't you supposed to be helping train my niece?" she asked, accusingly.

the young knight shrugged, "the king gave me leave to come see his favorite sister in law." the baratheon man had a killer smirk. it made saphrona melt inside, almost everytime.

saphrona rolled her eyes. "so when my niece cannot fight her way out of a burlap sack, it will be you to blame." she giggled. he mocked looking hurt.

it was killian's turn to question her, "now, what are you doing here? aren't you to be training as well with lady aemma?" he grinned. he referred to a different kind of training, although, saphrona did take part in combat training as well.

she scoffed, "as if my sister has kept up that charade. she gave up on me six months ago. i'm lady enough." saphrona crossed her arms. "now, are you going to help me finish this pie or what?" she giggled.

killian sat down next to the girl and the two of them dug back into the chocolate pie. the two of them were partners in crime. since saphrona's first night in king's landing, the two had been connected at the hip and trouble always seemed to find them when they were together.

after the pie, saphrona suggested they go on a ride. shadowfax needed some exercising, not to mention her hound did as well. the no hunting expeditions order didn't fare well for her pets. they were often neglected of saphrona's time.

as the two trotted outside of the castle grounds, the king and queen consort watched the duo leave on horseback. aemma looked at her lord husband, beaming. "it shouldn't be long before lord baratheon proposes a marriage with his son to your sister. i can feel it." viserys told his wife.

aemma felt her heart warm. she had wanted this for saphrona for so long, someone to tame her wild spirit and make her happy. she deserved it after everything everyone had put her through. the girl was starting to earn respect for herself out there in the capitol city, aemma had seen that the girl had touched the hearts of people without being a true woman of court.

just the other morning, without letting anyone know, saphrona had taken bread to flea bottom and fed it to the motherless children there. she truly did have a heart, aemma could see that now. saphrona felt something for those children, because she could relate to the loss of a mother. saphrona never even knew her mother's name.
