Chapter 36 Council

Tessia Pov:

I just wanted to say something but then I felt a strong impact on my neck. After that everything went dark. I was inside the cold or inside space without nothing. What happened why am I here? Was I even here? Where is here? Who am I? Then I felt a warm light on my skin. It tickled and I came closer to the light. I wanted to embrace it. And I did. Just then I shuddered.

"Oh is the sleeping princess awake?"

"A-Arthur? Where are we? Why is it so could?"

"Oh about that I am sorry but we are high up in the sky on Ombrage."

"Huh? But weren't we? Wait what were we doing just now?"

"We were discussing how we would handle the attack on Xyrus and you wanted to say something."

"Yes that is right but why am I here?"

"I knocked you out and took you with me. We are going to the council."

"Why? Why would you do that? Haven't I proven myself? Am I still a child in your eyes? I have become stronger."

"Tess there is a reason why I took you with me. Think about it. You are an elf and a princess you are a priority target. And Lucas and Clive they, they."

"They what?"

"They planed to defile you. I couldn't leave you there it would have been too dangerous. If something happened then I could never forgive myself. Please understand Tess. What would you have done in my situation?"

I was pouting but then stopped and thought about it. I thought some more and then exhaled. "You are right Arthur I would have done the same. But I am still angry at you." She then put her pouting face back on.

"You can be angry about my actions as long as you want. You have every right to do so. But now you have to get ready we are nearly there."

When he said that I loosened my grip on him and started looking around the place. We were high up in the sky. Looking down on mountains or rock formations. Then I tried to infuse mana in my eyes and I saw it. There it was a floating castle in the middle of the beast glades. "H-how?"

"It was build y the ancient mages and for some reason never found. Right now the council resides there."

Varey Pov:

The council called all of us. We had to go to the room where they stayed to discuss what to do with Cynthia. We have gotten an anonym tip that she was a spy from the enemy continent. We were informed that she was here just to gather information. Now she was even "helping" the council and infiltrating the deepest parts of Dicathen. When we heard that we immediately went after her and captured her. Just some hours later lance Alea came back with a dead retainer. She said that she was the reason for the stronger mana beasts. And that she threatened the royals and the other students much higher up in the dungeon. At that the councilmembers got furious. It was understandable. I was impressed since the retainer did not look like she was defeated by some powerful spell but was cut of and crushed by something. Did she create an avalanche with her vines? The professor that was there also told us about two students dying and a monster appearing before the ceiling collapsed. I did not know about the students since I did not care that much. It was a tragedy but they went in a dungeon and that is a danger. On my way I met up with other lances and we went into the room to see the others were already present.

"Finally everyone is here. What took you so long?" The dwarven king said. I did not like him. He was like Blaine just more ferocious.

"We are sorry councilmember Greysunder. We came as soon as we heard we were summoned."
