(Time skipped to Amber's birthday, Y/N's POV)

I woke up feeling extra excited, as today was October 12, Amber's birthday! I had a lot planned for her birthday. I got her a gift, set up a special party, and we'll be having a sleepover with some of her other friends. I got my backpack then ran to Amber's house to walk her to school. (She told you where she lived.)

"AMBERRRRR! WAKE UPPPP!" I yelled. The rest of her family already left, since her parents had early work, and her siblings went to different schools that began earlier. Amber yelled back, "I'M COMING, JEEZ Y/N!" I heard the sloshing of water and the clinking of Amber's school stuff in her backpack as she rushed. She came out of the grass, saying, "Why are you here, we don't usually walk to school together." "Oh come on, it's your birthday, you know that!" I remind her. She remembers, then we walk to school together.

School itself wasn't very fun, just the usual schoolwork. After school ended, was when it was really fun. "Okay, Amber, I'm gonna take you somewhere for your birthday! :D" I say cheerily. "Where are we-" she cuts off as I begin to drag her along a stone walkway. "Wait, Y/N, slow down!" she says. I ignore her and continue dragging her along.

Once we get there, I tell her to close her eyes so I can guide her in. The large pond is surrounded by a wall of grass, blocking people from seeing inside. Amber puts both of her wings on her eyes, and I gently walk her in. Once we're inside, I tell her she can open her eyes.

She looks very shocked and happy as everyone comes out, saying, "SURPRISE!" Her other 3 friends, Crystal, Joshua, and Ian, are standing behind the table with the cake on it. The room is a very light pink, with white stripes. The walls were made of painted grass. The cake was two-tiered, coated with white frosting, and had pink strawberry flavored frosting on the circular edges of the cake. The cake itself was a light pink and had strawberry flavor as well. We cut the cake and ate it together. "Nice cake! It has perfect flavor and isn't too sweet!" Amber said. "Oh, thank you. I made the cake," Ian said. Ian is the male, baby blue duck. Crystal is the female, lavender duck. Joshua is the male, mint green duck. "Woah, really? I didn't know you could bake!" Amber exclaimed, surprise clearly evident.

After cake, Amber opened the presents we got for her. From Joshua, a special little set of kitchen appliances that were battery powered and could be used to practice baking or cooking. From Crystal, a few packets of seeds for various flowers and some small flower pots. From Ian, a bunch of ingredients to make food. And from me, a smiley, pink strawberry plush. Amber was so grateful to all of us for her presents, and we had someone send them to her home. "Oh, we forgot to mention, we all helped to make a new, private pond near your home for all your stuff!" I said. "And don't worry, we got permission from your family first," I added. Amber sighs with relief, then we move onto the next party activity.

The next activity was karaoke! Amber had always wanted to go with all of us, but we couldn't find a good time for it. It was so fun! Except none of us could sing.

After karaoke, it was dark out, so we set up some lily pad beds and sat down to play the normal sleepover games. Truth or Dare, Never Have I Ever, you know, that stuff.

We were all dead tired after, so we told Amber happy birthday one last time, then went to sleep.
