(Y/N's POV)
It's been a few weeks since my weird dream. It's stopped happening, though, so I feel much more relaxed. I felt that I got disconnected from my friends. The dream caused me to feel slightly anxious and paranoid, so I'd stayed home a lot. I think it's a good idea to hang out with them, maybe just at the playground or something.
I packed my backpack with some snacks and drinks, then flew to the playground on Amber's friends street(aaa idk how to type this sentence). It was likely that they were there. Amber told me it was one of their favorite places to hang out.
I was right. I saw all three of them, sitting at the top of the playground near the slide, chatting. I fly up to them and accidentally crash, sending all of us toppling off. I land on top of everyone, and they groan. I quickly get up and dust off my feathers, apologizing. "I'm so sorry, is everyone okay?" They all give a grumpy "yes" and we all stand up.
Amber bombards me with questions. "I'd be more mad at you, but I'm too excited to see that you've finally come out! So, are you feeling okay? Less paranoid? Dreams stopped yet?" I clasp my wing around her beak, stopping her. "Okay, uhhhmm... Yes, I'm okay. I'm still a little paranoid, not enough to have to stay home. And yes, the dreams have stopped," I reply to her questions. "Ah, that's a relief!" Amber exclaims, wrapping her wings around me in a hug.
After the hug, I start speaking again. "Since I can finally leave the house without thinking there's a shadow creature following me, I thought it'd be nice to just hang out with you guys here." Ian's face lights up. "Ooh, we should play tag! You know, make sure everyone here can evade horror movie monsters in case," Ian suggests. Everyone nods in agreement. "All right, Y/N is it!" Ian yells, running up the playground. "Wha- why me!?" I shout back. "Why you complaining? You're the fastest, you won't have to be it for long anyways!" Ian says, from the top of the slide. Just for that, I'm tagging him first. I ran up the slide, and quickly tagged Ian. I jump off the playground and on top of the swingset. "No fair!" I hear Ian yell. He huffs, and runs to try and tag Amber. Unfortunately for him, Amber's been training to become really fast, like me. I'm still faster though ;le smug face;
Once we finish playing, we're all exhausted, and it's become dark out. I take out the snacks and drinks for all of us to enjoy. Once we finish, we say our goodbyes and head home. That was the best day I've had in weeks.
