35 THE SIREN AND THE HUMAN 35 [end]

It's been a month since their time at the park and the two couldn't be happier. They could finally be together like they wanted. Taehyung and Jungkook both had someone that felt like home, taehyung gained back a family. a family with Jungkook and his father. And Jungkook gained a new family, taehyung gave him a home and mr. Kim accepted him under his wing.

Jungkook felt content, he still misses being with his own kind. but he had a place that felt like home, it felt like coming back to his old home. Every time he would enter taehyung's house with his own key it felt like he came home from a long trip. It felt good. he can live like this.

"say ahh" Taehyung next to him said. Jungkook turned his head to see taehyung holding a small piece of fresh tuna between his fingers. They had ordered sushi with a lot of fresh cutted tuna portions for Jungkook. They decided to eat it in the sea together. the sushi in Taehyung's hand while they sat in the water, Jungkook was able to soak his tail in the water while Taehyung could still breathe air. A date, a date on the beach.

"Ahhhh" Jungkook said cutely and let the human feed him the tuna.

"I was wondering," Taehyung started. Jungkook hummed in reply with his mouth full. giving the human his full attention.

"Does it hurt when you're well, your spikes get covered by your skin? Does the skin feel painful?" Taehyung had no idea how to properly explain it but he assumed Jungkook got what he was trying to say.

"Not at all, my skin grows, it doesn't stretch, it doesn't hurt. It would only hurt if I bump it against a wall or something. but just normal activities and weight against it doesn't hurt me at all.

"So can I just touch them?"

"you want to touch my spikes?" Jungkook smirked and raised a brow. "you can touch me all you want cutie"

"a-ah i didn't mean-well...." Taehyung blushed and glanced at the spiked on Jungkook's arm and back spine. the ones on his back were bigger. So giving into his curiosity he reached out and touched Jungkook's biggest back spike he could wrap four fingers around it.

"don't worry, it doesn't hurt. They are very sturdy and connected to my bones. They are like armor. if a shark or anything tried to eat us, biting down into us will make these spike pierce their mouth and brain causing them to die or if they are too big to let us go and swim off."

"you're a sea hedgehog"

"I am offended to be compared to such a lowlife creature" Jungkook said seriously and averted eye contact.

"Hey, don't be so mean to them, hedgehogs are adorable and good animals!"

"I am a good animal, '' Jungkook said, frowning. "well.... nevermind" right after he said that he already took it back, he wasn't a good animal. He was a predator, he wasn't a good animal like the happy birds in people their gardens. He kills to survive and in human's eyes he is considered evil, a monster. So saying he was good didn't sit right with him.

"you're good to me," Taehyung said and smiled.

"thank you my love" the siren replied and smiled back. He watched Taehyung stand up and got a bit worried that he was going to leave already. "where are you going?"

"home"

"but... you just got here..."

"Are you not coming with me?" Taehyung asked with a chuckle.

"ohhohoh. i'm definitely coming with you" Jungkook grinned at the look taehyung gave him and shifted his tail before stepping out of the water, water drops falling down off his body. He began to walk after the human while his body changed to adjust itself to the dry air. They headed for the car and Jungkook wore only a shirt and shorts, he didn't have anything between his legs right now anyway, it would take a bit for his whole body to take shape.

"Let's take it to the bed this time, I like when your smell is in my sheets," Taehyung said, feeling shy to say it. but it was true, whenever jungkook slept in his bed it would smell like the ocean, it became a smell taehyung really liked. Because he knows it was jungkook's.

"I will make sure to leave an even more intense scent."

"You can do that?"

"Of course, we have to attract siren females to us in the water, we have a certain body scent we can release that will be taken away with the water."

"o-oh '' Taehyung felt tingles upon hearing that, is that... is that why he smelled so strongly like jungkook after they were intimate that night? The smell didn't even leave after he took a shower. it stuck to him for days before fading.

"Want me to rub it over you again? i can tell you want me to" jungkook said and placed a hand on taehyung's thigh while they started to drive.

"fuck yes, please do" taehyung bit his lip. they had to get home fast, he won't be able to hold himself and he just cleaned his car, they can't make it dirty already. maybe another time.

Either way, the two reached home and before they could even reach the bedroom they were already all over each other. glued together in the hallway behind their locked front door.

They didn't have to worry anymore about a future, Jungkook was safely back with taehyung and Jungkook had won over the heart of the human. They were enjoying their time together. Love is a funny thing, it can make you lose everything and at the same time give back so much in return.

Jungkook did not regret anything he did, he did not regret saving his life that day, he did not regret betraying his kind. Yes it still deeply hurts, but that is something that will always stay. He will always miss his home, but he did not regret it. Because he got Taehyung in return. There is nothing back at his home that can make him feel and experience everything he does now. He would have never gotten to meet all those humans and experience their way of life. He was changing, changing for the better. someone worthy of taehyung's love. He still has a long way to go before he can completely understand human's ways of life, but he will get there.

"I will love you forever and always, no matter what happens," Jungkook said, pulling back from the kiss.

"I will too, I will love you now and in the future... My Siren" taehyung smiled and cupped Jungkook's cold face smiling at the man that looked like the most beautiful being anyone will ever lay eyes on. And he was all his.

They will be okay, he was sure of it.

i had actually planned to end it at 36 but i did not see anything i could add that would have relevance to the story, i suck at writing daily lives like the lase few chapters, they will not be good and i dont want to end the story with poorly written chapters so i decided to end it a little earlier.

Funny thing, i never expected the story to be this short, i had planned on at least 45 chapters but everything came out shorted once i started to write it all out haha.

either way, i really hope you all enjoyed the story and forgive me for ending it at chapter 35 TT im sorryyy. 

i thank you all for the support i got while writing this, it was really motivating seeing your comments every chapter, it made me excited to start getting out the next chapters too. it really made me happy. so thank you all for that, i hope to see you in an other story from me too.

I already have my next story planned. Its a fantasy kingdom theme with Prince taehyung who falls in love with an outcast wizard. One day taehyung will realise that everything he knew was only a small park of the whole truth and things will take a turn. It will be filled with mystery, action, love and magic. the full fantasy circle hihi.
