"Selene, I didn't mean for it to happen,"

Selene scoffed and continued to wipe her make up off, "You got wasted and couldn't go on stage, it was the only thing I wanted from you- my best friend- tonight,"

"Sel, it was an accident, I didn't realise how much I was drinking," Maya said.

"Maya, it's not even just the fact that you got drunk that made me upset, it is also the fact that you started to go after Chohee too. Chohee has done nothing to deserve that," Selene stated.

"I just don't think she is right for you, Selene. Instead of facing her issues- because believe you me she has them- she runs from them. Do you even know why she moved here to the states?" Maya questioned.

"I do, because she doesn't lie to me constantly,"

Maya blinked a few times the word stinging, "What do you mean?"

"I'm not daft, Maya. I know what you've said about me and about my family. I've known for quite sometime. Of course, whenever I asked you about it you painted the person who told me as the liar. After the third time I realised who the actual person lying to me was."

     "Sel…"

Selene shook her head, "You only kept me around because you pitied me right? It should be really easy to let me go then,"

"Selene, I was just trying to keep up my reputation, I never meant it," Maya said.

"That's what makes this worse, Maya. If you weren't trying to continue to be cool girl this wouldn't be happening. I mean Maya, at one point even in the mess of that crap I liked you, but then you said stuff about my dad and papa and things I wouldn't repeat.

If this friendship meant anything to you, you would have never said those things. Obviously this friendship was what you said it was, you pitying me and me being naive,"

"I said those things months ago, Selene,"

"No, you said these things last month. You said these things three weeks ago. Maya, I am done, I'm finally done with all of it. After tonight, I think we should stop being friends,"

"Selene, please, I love you, don't say that,"

"Maya, I not playing oblivious anymore, this friendship needs to end, because it is just going to become toxic,"

Maya pursed her lips, "I'm sorry if that is how you feel," she said softly.

Selene pursed her lips as Maya left.

It was the right thing to do.

~Five years later~

"I hate you so much, Chohee Mun!" Selene groaned.

Chohee laughed softly at her fiancee's declaration.

    "I love you, Princess,"

"Don't be cute with me. No, not when I am in this much damn pain,"

"I'm sure the pain will subside," Chohee said.

The pain did not in fact subside.

"Chohee Mun, never will I do this again, two kids that's all you get from me," Selene said.

Chohee laughed softly, "That's fine, Princess,"

After a long 18 hours the two welcomed their twins into the world.

"Twins, definitely run in the family," Chohee said softly.

"Yeah, and we always have one boy and one girl," Selene said.
