After a couple days later, there still wasn't any new action being done or information from the police about the apartment. Ryūji & Taiga were confused & about to give up when Ryūji, in his room staring at Taiga's apartment as usual, heard rumbling coming from next door.

—Ryūji's POV— —I ran around the house calling Taiga's name in search for her to tell her what I heard. "TAIIGAA!?" I shouted, I searched the living room, then the kitchen, then Yasuko's bedroom & there was still no sign of her..... then I ran outside continuing my search but didn't see her at my doorstep or on the street. I got worried, I ran back inside & called the police.. I told them everything, what I heard & that Taiga was gone. I couldn't wait, I sprinted next door as if I was some hero ready to catch the villain, Taiga just might be over there... in danger.—

—Taiga's POV— —I couldn't sleep last night, I was terrified, something about a potential thief in my apartment kept me off ease the past nights. The next morning I woke up, with a few hours of sleep, I decided to cleanse my apartment of this evilness. I went over to my apartment feeling.... scared, but I couldn't run away from my problems.... Not anymore. I opened the door to the apartment, not really thinking it all the way through, ready to deal with whatever comes from out of the shadows.—

Taiga started creeping in towards the living room ever so slowly as she scanned every different shade of black from the corners as the light from the hallway shun through the door's opening. She asked "Is Anyone There?", while she gripped her stick even tighter. Taiga stood in the living room waiting for an answer or to hear anything at all, but there was no response.
As she started to walk to check the rest of the apartment everything started to get to her... she started to become paranoid with everything, feeling as if someone in the room was watching her from all directions & became more aware as the smallest of sounds would give her jump scares.
As she fiddled in her imagination spinning to check her blind spot every second with gasps, she tripped & fell to the floor with a huge thud. Before seconds could even pass she sat up as quickly as she could to look around ready to attack but noticed it was her coffee table. She started to feel just a little bit delusional as she thought this was all in her head.
But as she was sitting in her thoughts a soft sound, sounding like a few small boxes falling on clothes, grabbed her attention. Her eyes widened as she faced her room door, where the sound was coming from, realizing that it wasn't just her imagination this time.
She started to stutter to herself as she fidgeted a little to get up. She started hearing faint footsteps as if someone was running to her direction as it got louder fast. She realized she didn't even have her stick then froze as the footsteps were about to reach her.
BOOM💥 Incomes Ryūji, slamming her door wide open yelling her name "TAIGA!?"
Taiga was as shocked as she could ever be, she saw the desperation in Ryūji's eyes & she'd now realized how stupid her decision was to do this all alone putting herself at risk & harm, making the people who cares about her worry.
Ryūji ran to Taiga as if a mom would if she'd found her lost child, grabbing her shoulders asking if she was alright & what she was doing over here, if she was kidnapped etc... very unusual questions. Her face was still frozen as ever as she was still trying to decipher her reality.
Ryūji was now confused as to what had happened, he then shouted "Taiga Will You Tell Me What's Going On! I Heard A Loud Thud As If Someone Fell, Then I Realized You Were Missing!! Was It You!? I Thought You Were In Danger!"
Taiga: Huh? Ooh Uh Yeah.... I Tripped
Ryūji: What? What Are You Doing Over Here!?
Taiga: I Know... I Wasn't Thinking. But I Heard Sounds.... She said sounding sad in her usual voice.
Ryūji: .....
Taiga then pointed to her bedroom saying "In There"
Ryūji: And You Think That Coming Over Here By Yourself Was The Best Idea!? He shouted. Uhh Why Do You Keep Doing This Taiga? I'm Here By Your Side So You Don't Have To Face Your Battles Alone
But Taiga looked at him in realization then felt guilty.
Before they could say anything again, the doorknob to her bedroom was turning, creaking slowly, but, quickly a dark figure jumped out through the shadows.
It was.... A Thief!? Across the room from them, creeping into the light holding a knife at them, like it was a robbery. He looked so edgy as if he was a cave man hungry for days, clicking with every move he made, looking paranoid as his eyes were red like he was deprived of sleep twitching every second. Taiga is a brave girl, she would usually fight off any danger she came in contact with, but this is unlike anything she'd ever faced.

Taiga & Ryūji were frozen with their hands in the air as he said "Hey Hands Up!!"
He started walking side to side infront them as his moves were unable to read if he was ready for an attack or he's playing defensive.
The thief started chit chatting. The Thief: Who.. Which One Of You Brats Live Here!? Because I Heard That She Knows Some Kids From This Area And She Even Came Over Here A Few Times. I Know She Must Be Here She Couldn't Have Just Disappeared For Real..!? He said in a fast pace. So, Where Is She!? WHERE IS AMI KAWASHIMA!!?
