TORADORA! SEASON 2

A Delighted Night

Taiga stopped in her tracks to wait for Yasuko, & as she approached she shouted "Oh Hey You Guys! I've Been Looking For You Two Everywhere!"  loudly, in the far distance.

By the time she was in range of them, Ryūji asked "So Is Inko Okay ?"

Yasuko: Yeah, It Turns Out That Inko Has A Common Sickness Among Birds Her Kind.
Um... I Just Can't Remember What It's Called. As she looked up to her left in curiosity trying to remember what the animal doctor told her.

Ryūji: What!? You Forgot What The Vet Told You Already!?

Yasuko: Oh, She Said That Inko Came Down With Parrot Fever.

Ryūji: Parrot Fever Huh?

Yasuko: Mhm Hm. She Said That It's Bacteria In Inko, Making Poor Inko So Sick as her face turned to a frown while she stared at Inko's cage.

Ryūji: So... Is There Anyway To Treat This?

Yasuko: She Gave Me A List Of Things We Can Buy For Her At The Pharmacy as she raised a paper to her head then waved it round with her left hand.

After they've finished discussing, they'd set off on their journey home. They walked just as long back home, & with Taiga not moping around anymore they got back even faster.

When they eventually got home, dusk began to fall & Yasuko was already leaving out for work as she usually does. She ran out the house quick, but before she left she reminded Ryūji that she needed him to purchase a few of the antibiotics for Inko from the Pharmacy down the street.

Time went by, then Ryūji decided he was going to buy it.

Ryūji: Taiga, I'm Going To The Store To Get Medicine For Inko. I Want You To Stay Here And Watch Her.

Taiga: Wh-! The Bird!? I'm Coming!

They both put on something warm & went out leaving Inko in good hands of nobody. While they walked to the store, they were both in their own heads, keeping silent the whole walk.
Ryūji went in the store with Taiga & bought the medicine without any issues. When they exited & began walking back they were still pretty quiet. Until Taiga looked up at Ryūji.

Ryūji: What's The Matter?

Taiga: O-Oh Um, N-Nothing as she stuttered.

Ryūji: C'mon, I Can Tell When Something's Bothering You he said keeping his head straight.

Taiga: No, It's Nothing.

Ryūji: Alright, Then You Mind Telling Me What Were The 'Some Stuff' Your Mom Was Telling You About?

Taiga paused for a noticeable half a second, then spoke shyly but confidently.
Taiga: What She Was Saying Was That After All The Drama That Happened In My Apartment She And My Dad Were Thinking That It Would Be A Good Idea To Get Me A Different Place To Stay, And She Was Taking You Into Consideration Saying That They'll Get A Place For The Both Of Us To Live.

Ryūji: Wait What!? As he stopped dead in his tracks to stare at Taiga.

Taiga: D-Don't Look At Me! She said staring back at him awkwardly. "She Said She Wants What's Best For Me. So She Said She Needed To Be Prudent. She Wants Us To Be Safe, Ready For The World, So That We'll Be Comfortable When We Start Our Lives Together."

Ryūji continued walking, hiding the mere fact about how shocked he was.

Ryūji: So What About Yasuko?

Taiga: I Don't Know.. Maybe She Can Live With Us. We're Going To Have To Have A Meeting With Everyone For Us All To Be On The Same Page.

Ryūji slightly acknowledged Taiga & they walked home serenely. After they got home, Ryūji fed his pet bird & watched it till it fell asleep.
He then opened up to say "Y'Know, That Idea Of Your Mom Doesn't Sound Too Bad"

Taiga, watching him impassively, jumped back into reality & responded "Huh.?"

Ryūji: I Mean, With This, I Can Finally Stop Being A Burden To Yasuko For Making Her Work So Much. And I Can Finally Let Her Life Be So Much More, A Hundred Times Better.

Taiga: Ryūji she said as she sighed.

Ryūji: ..........

Taiga: You're Not 'Burdening' Yasuko. She Enjoys Having You Around. She Enjoys Looking After You And You Looking After Her.

Ryūji stared at her silently with a little bit of shock & realization in his eyes.

Taiga: Anyways, I'm Going To Bed as she got up from the floor beside Ryūji & walked into his bedroom.

Ryūji just smiled watching her going into his room. He then got up himself, then went to turn off the lights for the living room area but stopped to stare at Inko one last time before going to bed. He stood there for about 5 seconds before turning off the lights & going to his room.

When he went to his bedroom he already found Taiga laying in his futon. Taiga was already fast asleep.

Ryūji was shocked of how fast Taiga fell asleep as a shocked expression quickly made it to his face.

He stared at her & started to smile. He thought to himself ("She Must Be Hella Tired To Have Fallen Asleep So Quickly") "Heh" he chuckled "She Haven't Gotten A Rest All Day."
