MK was quick to follow Nezha as he rushed outside, watching with wide eyes as hundreds of soldiers pointed their weapons at Azure Lion and his brothers standing by his side. Neither were moving and Nezha walked forward in the quiet, head held high and spear in his hand commandingly.

"Leave. Now." He said but it sounded like a threat, his spear swinging upward with his words to point at the group and the guards around him did the same in unison.

"None of you will stop me. Step aside, or be removed by force. My qualm is only with the Emperor." Azure spoke up loudly, his voice traveled across the courtyard easily and some of the guards looked nervous, gripping their weapons tightly but none moved to leave so Azure sighed, a grim look crossing his face until he caught sight of MK behind in his armor.

"MK, this is your last chance to leave this madness and join me." He said and MK shook his head, hating the way the lion's face fell as he dragged in a deep breath like he was actually upset MK wasn't listening to him. He wasn't about to let him hurt his friends though and he was going to free his dads so he had to fight.

"Very well. But know that I don't want to hurt you." Yeah right. MK rolled his eyes but Nehza moved to the side slightly, blocking Azure's view of him and slamming his spear into the ground.

"You have made your choice. You will be shown no mercy." He declared and with his words the guards rushed forward, Peng darting in front of Azure to blow them all back with a gust of wind from his wings.

"Finally, some fun." Peng grinned, their eyes narrowed viciously and MK felt Mei stand next to him as the fight started, taking a few deep breaths to steady himself as Nezha himself rushed forward, his spear blocked by Yellowtusk.

"You ready, MK?" Mei asked and MK took just one more second to prepare himself, watching as Nezha darted to the side, landing a blow that sent the elephant backward before nodding, his shadow weapon appearing in his hands.

"Ready." Together, the trio darted forward and Red Son was quick to help some of the guards who were struggling with trying to keep Yellowtusk down while Mei grinned ferally and went straight for Peng, leaving Azure to MK. Already Azure had trapped quite a few men using the ink and MK was quick to dodge it as he got in close, his staff knocking his sword to the side a little until Azure was able to spin it around and crash it back against MK's weapon.

"MK, please, don't do this. Why can't you see that I'm trying to help people?" MK shook his head, grunting as he jumped backward away from ink aimed at him as his tail lashed about behind him.

"Please stop talking, I'm tired of being confused! I just want my dad's back."

"Then I hope you'll understand soon enough." Was the response and MK's eyes widened as he was suddenly flung back by the lion's foot, the air kicked right out of his chest as he landed a few feet away with a gasp. He rolled to a stop, grabbing at his chest with gritted teeth as he glared back at Azure, seeing that the other was once again trapping soldiers in the scroll, and yet his eyes went back to MK like he was waiting for something.

Good. MK wasn't going down that easy.

He got back up, about to rush forward again when he heard a giggle. A familiar, ice-cold giggle that sent shivers down his spine and made him instantly pale in horror.

"It's good to see you again, Qi Xiaotian." Her voice practically purred in his ear and MK jumped, eyes scanning the area around him with heaving breaths as he clutched his weapon close to himself, unable to spot her.

"What- what are you doing here?" He managed to ask, stuttering out his words with heaving breaths as he looked around wildly, his ears pounding with the sound of his rushing blood.
