Macaque shoved the debre off his partner and pulled him up, worried eyes quickly flicking over his body for wounds as Wukong brushed the dirt off his body, shaking his head to get rid of the dust and stone that was in it.

"Thanks, Starlight! I wasn't expecting that." Wukong laughed, clearly okay and Macaque wasn't sure why he was so worried in the first place when Wukong was immortal anyway.

"Ack-" Both of them looked up at the same time at Nehza's pained cry, grimacing as the prince was grabbed and thrown into the floor by Azure, his hand pinning him down as he huffed out tired breaths.

"You will not get in my way!" He bellowed out and Wukong rushed forward when Azure's hand trailed down to grab the scroll, kicking the lion in the back and making him stagger to his knees with a cry, giving Nehza the chance to escape and step back.

"Wukong!" Azure sounded furious as he swiped at the immortal, raising his sword and slicing down. The blow from the strike continued on down the rest of the room, splitting the room in half with a crack that led all the way to the broken-in doors at the other end.

Pretty soon, there wouldn't be anything left of the throne room, Macaque thought dryly before noticing Wukong next to him, having jumped out of the way of the sword.

"Aren't you supposed to be with Peng?" Wukong asked and Macaque looked at the rest of the room, eyes trying to catch sight of their son.

"I left MK with them." He explained, ears flicking as he listened for their child, hearing Mei as she argued with Yellowtusk and then Peng's voice and a crash that made him look to his left, grinning at the sight of the bird swiping angrily at the air, seething as something small dove over the spear and then under like a dodging game and he smirked when he realized that thing was a bird, and that the bird was MK, who was taunting the other and riling him up.

It brought a grin to his face and a weird proud feeling in his chest. Yeah, he taught him well.

"MK! What- by himself? Why would you-"

"He can handle himself, Peaches, don't worry. Look." He gestured at the fight and Wukong looked to find MK shifting back into his monkey form, leg arched back as he swung forward and kicked Peng in the face, flinging them backward and making them hold their nose with a furious glare.

MK must have felt eyes on him because he looked around suddenly, catching sight of Macaque and Wukong and giving them a little, relived wave before turning back to Peng, summoning his shadow weapon, and parrying Peng's spear when they tried to attack him again.

That's their boy.

"Either of you want to give me A HAND?" Nehza suddenly yelled out in frustration and Macaque snapped back to the task at hand, turning back to find Nehza darting away from Azure, who was clearly frustrated with how quickly the prince was moving as he tried to get him to stand still long enough to land a hit.

Wukong jumped forward, kicking the sword at its blade and sending it crashing out of Azure's unprepared hands, smacking into the pile of debris behind them that was once a wall and embedding itself in the concrete there.

"Mind if I cut in?" The immortal grinned cheekily and Nezha facepalmed as Azure's anger grew at his callous tone, eyes narrowing in on him as he lunged forward, hands stretched like he wanted to choke Wukong and wring his neck.

Before he touched him however Wukong yelped as he suddenly fell downward, black obscuring his vision for a second before he was falling from the ceiling above Azure, twisting his body so that he struck Azure with a roundhouse kick in the back rather than just falling on his face.
