Outside the scroll the first thing MK noticed was Mei, and that was because she was by his side in an instant, looking him over to make sure he was okay the way she always did and a small smile grew on his face as he hugged her suddenly, thankful for the way she'd always be there for him in words he couldn't express. 

Even when he'd been useless, even when he'd been dangerous Mei had never judged him and he loved her for it. 

"Hey! Nehza! Good to see you again buddy!" Wukong was saying and MK turned just in time to see Nezha grimace at the sight of Wukong, not hiding his distaste one bit. 

"You mean after stealing the map to the Samadhi fire from me?" He scoffed and Wukong waved it off with his hand. 

"Bah, that's in the past. No harm done." Nezha looked like he disagreed, opening his mouth sharply but before he could say anything Macaque was standing between them both, a serious look on his face. 

"Alright, let's not waste time, we need to come up with a plan to defeat Azure." He said and Nezha nodded, shooting Wukong a side-eyed look. 

"Yes, the sooner we defeat him, the better. Every second we waste is another second the very fabric of reality may fall apart." MK winced at how serious he sounded and the reminder of what they were dealing with. Then he remembered that she'd be there too and he wondered if Baba knew about that. Probably not seeing as no one had told him so MK really should and yet when he went to do so he found the words caught in his throat and he paused.

How cowardly would it be if he just sat this one out? 

Pretty cowardly probably, and he'd never forgive himself if someone got hurt and it was because he wasn't there to help. So he'd go and just do his best not to mess up again like he always did.

"So, what's the plan guys? Or are we just going up there to beat some ass? I've got a score to settle with that bird douche." Mei said menacingly, a grin that made everyone else uncomfortable on her face as her sword glinted dangerously from her side.

"And don't forget about that Bone Demon too. She'll be with them presumably." MK shivered at Red Son's mention of her and Wukong's eyes narrowed, Nehza also perking up the name.

"The Lady Bone Demon? That's who the which we saw was?" Nehza asked, obviously knowing the name since he flicked his gaze to Wukong but that must have been his first time actually seeing her.  

"Her? Why would she be there?" Wukong demanded, ignoring Nehza's questions and MK gripped his arm uncomfortably, noticing the worried glance Macaque was giving him. 

"She's working with them for some reason, we don't know why but we can only assume it's for something bad. Either way, it's trouble for us." Mei explained darkly and Red Son nodded next to her, his arms crossed.

Wukong too must have realized what this meant because he looked back to MK, his eyes soft with concern and while it was nice to be cared about all MK could think was that Wukong thought he was weak, that he'd crumble the moment he saw her. Which to be fair, was pretty much true. 

In that fight, MK had let everyone down and then messed it up even more by losing control. 

"That makes things more complicated than, I'm sure she's got her own agenda, and having Azure and his group on her side only makes her more dangerous. Especially since we don't know what she wants from them." Wukong said, sighing and rubbing his temples like he was beginning to get a headache. Then he breathed in, closing his eyes for a second before opening them again, his expression serious. 

"Alright. Here's the plan. MK, Mei, and Red Son, you three will keep Peng and Yellowtusk busy. Between the three of you, I'm sure you'll have no problem, and watch each other's backs, yeah?" Mei nodded fiercely at the instructions, Red Son's fists clenching as he nodded too and MK tried to look confident as he gave Baba a thumbs up, silently grateful he wouldn't be fighting Azure or her.
