Chapter 8

Felix's Pov 

It feels so warm and it smells sweet. I didn't want to ever get up . I slowly open my eyes , wishing I could always sleep like this, I never slept better.

I try to process what is in front of me then I look up to see Hyunjin- Wait what?! Why is Hyunjin in my bed? This is really-

-" Go back to sleep." He murmured in his morning voice then pressed my head into his chest hugging me even harder.

-"Wait- Hyunjin don't we have classes?"

-"Just sleep, It's alright."

Ah. This strange feeling I get when I'm with him.
I'm not used to it.

It's weird to grow up in a family  where you know you're loved but you don't feel it. Then when I started my teenage years I understood how almost impossible it seems to cross that distance and let myself experience closeness , how otherworldly love feels and how love feels unbearable at the same time.
I slowly push Hyunjin and get out of the hug.

-"This... this is strange." I spoke .

-"Wait- Felix!"

I turn to go take a shower and get ready for classes.
Today is my birthday. I should give it a try and go see my family from my mother's side. It's been a while since I visited them . Maybe it won't be so bad this time.

-"Good evening ,Felix! It's been so long why didn't you come visit us until now?" I heard my grandmother ask.

-"Good evening grandma and grandpa! How are you feeling? "

I took my shoes off and placed them elegantly. Take a seat on a sofa in the living room. The kinda of smell of old house mixed with nostalgia feeling hit me . It's really been a while.

-"Well, not really good since our grandson didn't visit us."

-"Ahh grandma, I had exams and actually I got in the university I wanted."

-"Good to hear that,Felix." my grandpa appeared in the room. " I actually have something really important to talk with you."

-"Wait , first tell your grandson happy birthday!"

-"Happy birthday Felix.Now let's get to business."

-"Yeah, alright."

-"Since you're now a grown man , you're not a teenager anymore, I can talk with you about this."
I start tapping my fingers. It's really uncomfortable when people start like this.

-"You are my only grandson , as you know, Felix. I'm going to sign some papers, to give you all my wealth and this land with this house."

I nod , feeling a lump in my throat. I can do it, just stay calm and nod.

-" Listen carefully, I don't want to hear that anyone influenced your decision later about what are going to do with this land. It's going to be yours. But I would like you to not sell it. This place hold on many memories since you were little too. Since your mother was little and since the whole family was together, including your ..." he clears his voice " lost aunt."

I just stare at the door frame , the one on the ground.

-"Maybe one day ,you all are going to come here and have a barbecue and chat. Listen to me Felix. You have to start thinking like an adult , and I want you to be responsible unlike that filthy man that wasn't able to take good care of your mother. If I ever catch him on the street, listen to me , he won't ever get out of my hands! He killed my daughter!"
