Family dinner?

"You guys look nervous what's wrong?" I said a little freaked out by how the two where staring at us.

"Yea why do you look like that" Miguel said, agreeing with me.

"We wanted to talk you-" Carmen said.
"So here's the thing-" Johnny said. They cut each other off and then went silent for a moment.

"You go" my dad said to Carmen."

"No you go" Carmen said while folding her hands in her lap and looking at us. They both went silent again and just kept looking at each other.

"Someone should go" Miguel said and I tried not to giggle.

"So um Miguel your mom and I are hooking up" my dad said and Carmen gave him a look. "Not just hooking up— uhh see when two people-two people are" my dad didn't know what to say. "Attracted to each other" my dad finally said which made me just sit in shock for a minute.

"I get it you guys are dating" Miguel said and I just kept sitting there with my mouth open speechless.

" we are dating yes" Carmen said and Miguel just sat there uncomfortably. " we didn't mean for you to find out like this" Carmen finished and that put an end to my speechlessness.

"What do you mean find out like this?" I asked confused because I thought that this would have been a good time and not  just randomly like they could have done. Miguel mouthed tell you later and my dad continued the conversation.

"We were waiting for the right time and place" my dad said and Miguel nodded. "We wanted to take you guys to a nice restaurant and break the news to you somewhere nice like chilis or Red Lobster" my dad continued.

"Migi are you ok with this" Carmen said trying to comfort Miguel a little.

"Yea I'm fine, i uh think. Surprised also not super surprised, I would have chosen someone with better food in there refrigerator but uh other than that sensis a good guy, as long as your happy I'm happy." Miguel said. I was just sitting there a little upset that they didn't ask me and only asked Miguel but it's fine I guess.

"We're happy" both Carmen and my dad said while smiling.

"Cool" Miguel said and stood up.

"Yea let's eat" I said and me and Miguel walked over to the table and started to eat all the delicious food Carmen had cooked the night was great. We were all laughing and having a good time but I was still a little mad about my dad not telling me about him and Carmen and also not asking if I was ok with it but that doesn't matter really.

"Ok now tell me why the whole dating thing got brought up here and not at the fanciest restaurant ever red lobster." I said while laughing.

" well...I found your dads clothes in my moms car" Miguel said trying to laugh it off.

"Ewww grosssssssss ewwwwwwwwww" I said scrunching my nose at the thought of our parents doing something in a car.

"Hahahahahha I know how you feel I reacted the same way" Miguel said while laughing at how grossed out I was.

"It's ten o'clock come on you two get into your rooms and go to bed" Carmen said and me and Miguel groaned.

"Please a little later" me and Miguel begged but Carmen said no so I grabbed our keys and I headed to my apartment while my dad stayed with Carmen for a little and I got ready for bed. I changed into my green pj set and then washed my face and brushed my hair. I sat in bed on my phone and fell asleep while doing so. I had a lot of dreams tonight but all of them had Anthony in them. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME! I thought but I kept dreaming of him.
