The Diner Party

It was now the weekend and the whole week at school Anthony and his friends had been giving Cassie dirty looks but today was about to make it a whole lot worse. Miguel, Carman, Cassie's dad, and Cassie all had to have dinner at the LaRusso's house. Meaning Cassie had to spend the whole night with Anthony. To make matters worse neither of their bruises had fully healed yet.

"Cassie are you ready" her dad yelled from down the hall.

"Yea dad I'm coming" Cassie ran down the hall in a blue dress ankle length with her hair curled and white Air Force's tied tight on her feet.

"Ok let's go Carmen and Miguel are outside" Cassie's dad said walking out the door. Cassie followed to the car with Miguel who was in a fancy shirt and dress pants and Carmen who was in a pretty red dress and heels.

"Ok Cassie be nice don't cause any trouble" Miguel warned the girl as she stepped into the car.

"Mr LaRussos my sensi and I love Sam don't worry" I reassured him.

"You know I wasn't talking about them" Miguel said sitting in the car.

"It'll be fine" Cassie said as her dad drove out of the lot.

When the four got to the LaRusso's Miguel knocked on the door with Johnny standing next to him while Cassie was standing next to Carmen. The door opened and there stood mrs. LaRusso in a green dress with a bright smile on her face.

"Hello everyone come in come in" she said while gesturing everyone inside. Cassie was the last to walk in and when she did she made direct eye contact with Anthony who still had a busted lip and a black eye. The girl quickly looked down and used her hair to cover her purple and yellow eye so the LaRusso's wouldn't notice.

"Hey everybody come to the dinning room dinners ready" mr LaRusso welcomed the group as they made their way to the dinner table. Cassie was still looking down not wanting anyone to notice her eye.  They all sat down and started eating. talking about Sam and Miguel and what college Miguel wanted to go to. While Miguel was talking he accidentally spilled wine on mr LaRusso. Cassie's dad trying to change the subject after the mess was cleaned up said the worst thing he could have said in that situation.

"What happened to you kid" Cassie's clueless father said to Anthony. Anthony's eyes widened connecting with mine across the table. Before he could answer mr. LaRusso cut in.

"Oh he was walking home and him and his friends saw a kid being bullied and like the good kid he is he stood up for them" mr LaRusso said patting his son on the shoulder with a smile on his face "Didn't you kiddo"

"Oh really when was this, just wondering" Carmen asked looking towards me, put two and two together.

"Umm Monday I think" Anthony said. Then it clicked for Cassie's father and Carmen. Cassie couldn't take her eyes off her food knowing that if she did everyone would figure out their injuries were connected.

"Oh really how funny, Cassie also had an incident Monday, what a coincidence" Cassie's dad said pulling her head up revealing a black eye. As everyone pieced it together the two teens looked at each other with blank expressions. They both were panicking but didn't want to show it.

"Wait you were the bully or you were getting bullied" Miguel turned to Cassie, wanting his questions answered.

"Neither! Anthony was the bully I was standing up for my friend" Cassie was getting defensive now and so was Anthony cause he had just stood up from the table.
