Gianna's POV

Derick lets me choose the music we listen to during the drive from the training center to picking up Zucc.

I grab the AUX cord that he has in his glove compartment and plug in my phone to that as well as plugging in the car charger.

I start playing my "road trip" playlist, which had everything I listened to. From Pink Floyd to Yellowcard to Newsies to popular music on the charts now. The first song that comes on is Chains by Nick Jonas.

I start to sing along, silently at first but as the chorus kicks in, I start to get progressively louder. Since we are on an open highway, Derick decides to open the sunroof and blast the music.

"I never knew that you sing," Derick tells me as the song ends.

I nod, "I never envisioned myself with a career having anything to do with the music business. I love this song!" I say, cutting myself off as Carrying the Banner from Newsies begins blaring through the car.

"Theater kid?" He asks me, chuckling. I nod.

I only sing the parts that I had to cover during a theater exhibition at my high school back in September.

"Welcome to New York!" Derick sings along with the song. I laugh, a bit delayed due to my seriousness about theater songs.

"Now is the time that I find everything so confusing," I say, quickly before I start singing again.

I finish the first part of the song where everyone is singing different things at the same time. I take a breather during the instrumental interlude before the second half of that starts again. I finish the song, out of breath.

"Holy crap, how do remember that? I know you did it in September at the open houses but damn. I could never do that." Derick says, astounded.

The next song is Telescope by Yellowcard, which I lower the music so Brass and I could talk and actually be able to hear each other.

"Well, I think Ryan has mentioned it before but I've been doing theater since I was in 3rd grade so around 10 years. I've done so many shows, I love it but I personally could never be able to see myself doing anything in the business. I don't know why, I mean I had the opportunity to audition for Julliard. I didn't take it and I don't know why. I never thought it was the thing for me. Know what I mean?" I explain, hoping he understood what I meant.

"I know what you mean, but you should at least start a YouTube channel for your covers because those are absolutely amazing." He advises me.

"I've been thinking about it for a while but I don't know how to edit. I love this song too." I cut myself off as I hear the beginning of See You Again begin to play.

I sing along and do the actual rapping thing and I never realized that the car had come to a stop. Nor did I notice that Brass looked surprised at my duel ability.

I laugh at him and unplug my phone. I notice that we are at his own apartment building.

We get out of the car and walk into the building, meeting Zucc about halfway through the lobby. We turn back around and back into the car.

"Giiiiii," Derick says, stringing out my name, "sing moreeeeeee."

I roll my eyes and ply my phone back in and give Zucc a choice on what I should do and he chose Santa Fe from Newsies.

"You've seen Newsies?" I ask him, surprised. He nods and hits play.

I sing straight through it without stuttering, which I'm surprised at because when we did this show, I got casted as Jack Kelly (surprising, I know because I'm a girl but they liked my talent so that's how that happened) and every rehearsal, I had messed up the song the first time I sung it.

Zucc doesn't even say anything, he just grabs my phone. He's looking through my music to see what else I have.

"Oooooo put on a rap song that she has in there. She's great at that too!" Derick informs him. Zucc gives me a devilish smile before playing The Real Slim Shady by Eminem.

Brass speaks the 'prologue' of the song before I take over. I rap straight through the first verse. We all scream-sing the chorus, getting weird looks from other drivers and people walking around. We forgot that they can hear us with the windows down but oh well. I finish the song and realize that I'm in the presence of two very confused men. I chuckle at them.

"That. Was. Awesome." Zucc announces, clearly speaking for Derick, who is nodding his head. We park the car and walk into PinkBerry.

"Whatcha gonna get?" Derick asks me.

"I have absolutely no idea." I respond, looking at all the flavors available.

"How about you get a mix of what Zucc and I normally get?" Derick offers, which I accept gratefully.

They ask me to get a table, which is by the window. They come back with the fro-yo and we start talking about random things, like what life was like at home and what graduation was like and everything like that.

Once we finish, I head to get back in the car but Brass grabs my hips from behind me and slings me over his shoulder real nonchalantly. I start to punch at his back, playfully but quickly give up as I realize that he is unphased by what I'm attempting to do.

He puts me back down and then squats in front of me.

"Hop on, we're gonna be walking for a bit." He offers, which I, again, accept.

I hop onto his back and wrap my arms around his broad shoulders as he grabs my legs in what would look like a choke hold if it weren't around my legs.

We start walking and I soon realize that we are heading toward Central Park. We are just making small talk between the three of us, not being stopped by any fans. I would think that we would've been stopped by now but I was clearly proven wrong.

After a bit of walking, we arrive at Central Park.

Zucc suggests that we take the horse-carriage tour thing around the park. Brass says that it's a good idea and I agree. But Zucc announces that he should be heading back to his apartment building, which I understand. He looks absolutely exhausted. Zucc begins walking but I then realize that his apartment building is literally just a few blocks away.

We start walking around to find a food stand, which we successfully find by the Bethesda Fountain. We then sit down in the grass by the fountain to eat and drink before we get into one of those carriages.

A/N Hey guys!!! I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Do you think Gianna realizes that Derick likes her yet? Probably not, in my opinion. But anyway, leave your feedback and stuff. Anyway, time for shameless self promotion. Can you guys go check out the other two fan-fictions I am doing now? They're called Delayed (about Cam Talbot) and You're Worth It (about Corey Crawford). Thank you! But leave your feedback, as I usually request for you to do, but otherwise that's it! Byeeeeeee
