I feel my whole body tense as he looks at me. I remember how he spoke to me earlier outside of the bathroom, how he made me feel so belittled and can't believe he would have the audacity to show up here. I begin walking in his direction, but my end goal is the doors to my building, not him. I avert my gaze away from him so I'm not making eye contact with him any longer. Once I'm within five feet of him he starts talking to me.

"Y/n." He says, but I ignore him. "Y/n? I need to talk to you about something." He says again turning to me as I get closer to the door. Finally I reach them and push my way through, blessed with the warm ambience of my apartment lobby as I leave Satoru behind. I take Noritoshi's jacket off of my shoulders and drape it over my arm. Giving the concierge a smile, I pity him knowing that Satoru will surely be following me through those doors any second now and he may have to witness a very public argument between us.

My heels click along the marble floor. One step, two step, three step... He's not following me? I turn back around to the doors and look through the glass, but Satoru is nowhere to be seen. I sense something's off as it's not like him to just give up so easily. Nevertheless, I continue on to the lifts and press the button for my floor.

I peer into the fuzzy aluminium wall of the elevator and I'm greeted by a misshapen blue blob due to the curves in the metal and the colour of my dress. As if I wasn't feeling down enough already, I'm reminded of the colour I'm wearing and who I'm wearing it for.

I run my hand back through my hair as the lift doors open and step out onto my floor. As I turn the corner of the corridor to my apartment, I see someone leaning against my door. Great, it's Satoru.

"You teleported here?" I ask him angrily.

"You were ignoring me, what was I supposed to do?" He replies with just as much frustration, although I'm not sure for what reason considering I'm the only one who's anger can be justified at this point in time. I walk towards him, or rather, towards my door, brushing Noritoshi's jacket that hangs off my arm as I do so to keep my hands occupied. "He gave you his jacket?" Satoru asks and I nod in response, the hint of jealousy in his tone not going unnoticed.

I move past him and to the right of my door where the lock is as I rummage around in my bag to find my keys.

"You were supposed to leave me alone, did it ever occur to you that I don't want to talk to you right now?" I ask, still trying to find my keys in my bag. "Did you even consider that Satoru? Of course you didn't because you never consider anyone else's emotions." I finish, finally finding my keys in my bag after what feels like an eternity. "Aha! Now, if you would be so kind as to vacate the premises-" I begin with a flourish of my hand towards the elevator, but he cuts me off.

"You were crying." He says. It's not a question, he says it like he knows I was.

"Wh-hat? What do you mean?" I reply, slightly taken a back that he could possibly know this. "Do I have something on my face?" I ask, pulling out a pocket mirror to inspect my makeup which I reapplied a mere 2 hours ago. Mid-checkup Satoru pushes the mirror down from my face and I'm forced to meet his eyes. They're not angry and I see his look of concern.

"Once I left you in the corridor, you cried." He says simply. Tell me something I don't know...

"Well first off, I didn't. And secondly, I don't see what this had got to do with anything." I say, maintaining my composure and desperate to find out where he got this information. I'm sure he didn't see or hear me, the corridor was not well lit and I didn't even begin to breakdown until after he left, not that any of this should be such a huge deal anyway.

"Hana told me." Oh for god's sake you have to be joking. "She said she saw you re doing your makeup because you'd been crying." He finishes his explanation. Time to find a new tactic and own up to this whole ordeal.
